Trout is going to have to pull a Sergio Martinez to win or even get a draw in Texas
KO and then win 10 rounds. That'll get the draw
To get the win, Canelo needs to not show up
:lol1: I agree and will be at the fights.
All I can hope for is a fair clean fight. Then I have no problem with respecting the winner. However if it's a bunch of foul play involved then I'ma be pissed.
Your going in to the fight with a cynical approach to it. So everything remotely close, whether it be a round or the fight, your gonna scream its a fixed fight.
No, if its close and its scored that way, then I'm fine. I'm not usually into calling robberies. The only robbery, that I really believe was an awful robbery was the Paulie/Diaz fight a few years ago and the Campillo/Cloud fight. Those two made me ill. I'm sure there were others. But most fights that are close, they're close.
If this is a 6-6/ 7-5 type of fight for either fighter and it goes either way, so be it. But if its apparent that Trout is fu*cking him up and then Canelo gets a SD/MD then I'll be upset.
Kinda like this past weekend...I thought Rigo won 10 rounds, perhaps 9, yet the fight was nearly a SD for Donaire. I would have screamed robbery
I'm bracing myself for the inevitable...
Media hype sensation vs a guy with two notable wins, but still on the fringes of name recognition, fighting in a place notorious for their dubious scoring.
Brace yourselves...NSB will explode on midnight of the 21st

Since this has been a last 2 years of boxing filled with many MAJOR upsets.
Including Rigo vs Donaire...
I'm gonna call it, Austin Trout by UD or SD.
I predicted Rigo would beat Donaire and I'm predicting Trout will beat Canelo just as easily. He is the bigger, better man.
Ehh, I wont be surprised at all if trout wins and I wouldnt even consider it an upset just like I dont consider the alvarado and rigo wins as upsets. In technical terms there considered upsets because of the betting odds but really there pretty much even 50/50 match ups.
Can we at least watch the fight before you start screaming robbery?

I haven't formed an opinion or broke down either fighter as of yet but I wouldn't say a Trout win was anything like a major upset, a minor upset maybe.
A major upset to me is Tyson vs Douglas, Grachev vs Sillakh.
I hate that Trout winning would be considered an upset. It really shouldn't be, it's 2 young guys who haven't proved much.
good point
