DERECK CHISORA is gunning for Argentine opponent Hector Avila next Saturday, vowing: I’ll dedicate my victory to the Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher!
Tough nut Chisora, who brawled with David Haye at a press conference last year, is based in Finchley, the old constituency of former Prime Minister Thatcher who died last week.
And Chisora said: “She was a very powerful woman and I liked her. I would have voted for her.”
But looking ahead to his fight with Avila, Chisora admitted he is undergoing anger management sessions at £250 a time.
The boxing bad boy was banned last year after his brawl with British heavyweight rival Haye.
Chisora, 29, also slapped Vitali Klitschko at the weigh-in of a world title fight and spat water in the face of the Ukrainian’s brother and fellow champion Wladimir.

There are many, many more Brits that feel how I do, if not more than what think bad of her. It became very fashionable to hate Thatcher over here and it's trend that has continued amongst the younger generation who have no idea about her reign as PM.
She had bigger balls than all the other PMs since her time put together and she'll go down as one of our greatest, we should be proud.
She divided a lot of opinion but the actions she took were necessary, this is what people fail to see. Yes, a few million were affected negatively but that's a small price to pay compared to the whole country going down the shitter.
Yep. The woman would have won four consecutive general elections, that she won three is a testament to the public's faith in her and approval of her policies.
As to the working classes, this documentary discusses Thatcher's impact for them for anyone interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSrEpMYYpUs or here http://www.channel4.com/programmes/margaret-death-of-a-revolutionary/4od#3508791
From an outsider's perspective it would seem that Thatcher was a friend of the rich and an enemy of the working class. Similar to Ronald Reagan here in the USA.
Look at delboy, turning nsb into a political discussion group about ole' Maggie.
And people say he's a retard. I say he's a genius. A (moderately) rich man based on limited skills and a good chin. Better than any of us.
Gotta agree with Andy on this one. Chisora is just selling himself. He probably doesn't care about Thatcher at all. :lol1:
Chisora was a little kid during Thatcher's reign, and I doubt he ever read much about politics, let alone history.
Chisora seems like a normal lad, maybe the money and attention involved last year just got to his head. Looking forward to seeing him back in the ring.
If you're a Brit, you're the first Brit I've heard so far, defending her. She was as polarizing as they come, from talks with all the Brits I deal with.
Tends to be where you're from what you think of her, if you're from the South, happy days, greatest PM ever etc etc
If you're from the North, then she was/is/always will be the devil himself.
I'm from Easington originally, which is in the North East, used to be a mining town.
So for me personally, ding dong the witch is dead, and not a moment too soon either
From what I'm reading on all the blogs commenting on the ole battleship Maggie, it sounds like people who liked her were merely fooled into going along with the rich guys b.s. lines they were selling. That's why there's now that insurmountable gap between the rich and the poor worldwide now it would appear.
Delboy sure picked a wacked issue to bring up and dedicate a fight to. He NEEDS fans in Britain.... but all he probably did was lose thousands for that ignorant remark.
G'warn Chisora!
The Argentines have Martinez vs Murray and no doubt Murray is getting pummelled that.
:lol1:
Surgeon, get some respect for the lady. She did a lot for this country and did what needed to be down. I saw more love for Saddam.

Very witty mate well done. Almost as hilarious as the first post u did in the thread.
And red k, really? lol
Respect is something u earn she never earned mine. Or do u mean like the respect her own party gave her when they booted her out
Green K to counter the Red.
I'm like the Rigo of Green!
Chisora knows how to rustle jimmies. It gets him way more money than he is worth based on skills alone. Think about it who is one of the most hated people in England? - Thatcher. So to dedicate his fight to her memory is a great way to be an IRL Troll.
She's not that hated bro, the (currently) silent majority elected her three times, that's millions upon millions of people who endorsed her and probably still do. It's those that hate her who are making the news.
Anyway, this is a funny statement from Chisora which is clearly based upon the Britain v Argentina hostility. Can you imagine if Froch fought Martinez? what an easy sell that would be for a promoter.
Thata boy Chisora.
He knows who would've let him keep his own money and who is pro-individual freedom, instead of trying to soak him. Thatcher did what needed to be done.
But they are still paying the cost of her decisions now
You're delusional, too.
I suggest you read-up on post-war Britain (1945-1979). You never know, you might learn something :)
You're special, aren't you?

Privatisation. The Trade Unions IS a big issue however it is FAR from the only one, there are too many to list but lets name a few
She Deregulated the banks and look where we are now. Her complete disregard for any beliefs different to her own. The working man being able to buy his home was a good thing but what of the people who were not in the fortunate position to buy their own house, she stopped the councils building more houses thus again making the rich richer and the poor poorer as private landlords were able to hone in and charge extortionate rates
You're special, aren't you?
Its ridiculous. A large number of those 'celebrating' her death weren't alive in the 1970s/80s.
She'll go down as one of the greatest British PMs, whether the socialists like it or not.
But they are still paying the cost of her decisions now
Thatcher did what needed to be done, if you two are upset because of the trade union bollocks than that's laughable. Everyone shows their resentment for her but no one ever explains why they don't like her, probably because they'd get laughed at.
