I had it 10-2 for Rigo, but I could have maybe given Donaire another round somewhere. There was so many rounds in my opinion where Donaire did absolutely nothing. He was just there not even throwing any punches. Rigo's defense is just too good. I predicted a Donaire win, but I knew it would be as close of a 50/50 fight as one can get. Rigo just happened to prove a lot of people wrong, & showed he belongs at the top.
This definitely wasn't as close a fight as a lot of people are saying. Rigo won by at least 6 points.
just rewatched the fight, this time with the HBO crew who were pro rigo and the exact opposite of the top rank crew(with the exception of bradley) which was pro donaire
the first couple of rounds seriously close, had me leaning more towards rigo, like the 2nd, 4th(or 3rd, can't remember) and 5th(compubox had some ridiculous punchstats on this that just weren't true), hbo crew for the most part completely ignored the majority of donaire's punches in these rounds
gave the 2nd to donaire who landed more than rigo, although rigo had these two moments where he just barely landed his left and it seemed flashy, nothin enough to steal the round in my eyes
and the others to rigondeaux, everything with not much confidence tho,
round 7 was donaire's round, his clearest(although not really clear) so far
the 9th on rewatch im actually leaning towards donaire
and obviously 10th to donaire, man, rigo ate some huge shots besides the kd punch and was not phased, at all, granite chin?
so, 2nd, 7th, 9th and 10th, 8-4 rigondeaux
I gave Donaire rounds 7 and 10. I scored two rounds (2, 11) a draw and gave the other 8 rounds to Rigondeaux. But I marked a few of the rounds which I scored for Rigo as close.
So overall the fight had quite a few close rounds but Rigo edged pretty much almost all of them because he was the ring general and landed the cleaner punches. He dictated everything in my opinion.
He won the stare down....oh and the 10th other than that maybe 1 other Round that i thought Rigo took off nada else Rigondeaux face looked untouched Donaire almost got he's eye punched off he's head.
hahahahahahahaha!!!! That is ****ing hilarious. BTW he won one round the tenth for sure and MAYBE two rounds. Dude got humiliated out there.
I see only one in the 10 round I had my scorecard written up and ready to go but stopped filling it out after about 8 rounds as i knew it was only going one way on the cards! I agree with u, one round - the tenth by two points
I thought he won 4 rounds at best. I also thought he was number 1 P4P. It amazed me how he didn't adjust to the straight left hand. I was saying switch to southpaw (since he wasn't closing the distance) because he has power in both hands. I swear he broke that foo orbital bone with that last left hand. I honestly think an aggressive Rigondeaux TKOs Donaire if he doesn't adjust.
I gave him 4 rounds. But to be honest I could be effected by bias, some of those rounds I gave to Nonito simply because Rigo wasn't doing anything and could be argued for either fighter.
This was the case in quite a few rounds.
Still hard to give them to Donaire though.

One, and you could make a case that Rigo made it 9-9 after getting knocked down.
Donaire got completely shut out.
Yep. Rigo after the kd made the round close as hell. He damn near shut him out It was a domination.
