More so.
I enjoyed him last night but i dont really like him much as a dude and i prefer a fighter who wears his heart on his sleeve and gives more of himself.
Make a point of watching him though
Fan of his talent? Yes. The guy is very, very good. But have I ever enjoyed any of his fights? No. He's amazing but he doesn't engage enough to make it very fun, and there really isn't anyone out there at his weight to force him to fight any differently. He's a garbage tv fighter.
It was an astonishing and dazzling display of skill.
He made a skilled boxer look worst than JCCjr against Martinez.
Think about it: for 12 rounds Nonito looked a bum.
I'll always remember this night. It was like Floyd, but Floyd doesn't do it as an underdog. Rigo did.
tbh I have never called a fight more wrong than last nights, I predicted based on nonito last year that he would win in 7 rounds. Simply because he was amazing and I felt rigo was being over hyped with his amateur credentials.
Now I believe that rigo is top 3 most skilled fighters in the game today and amongst top few in the last 10 years. The guy is incredible he beat a solid p4p fighter and made him look ordinary.
I'm a big fan of his now. The skill and ring generalship he displayed was on another level. I knew it was a tougher fight for Donaire than many thought but I didn't expect Rigo to dominate the way he did.
Most definitely a fan of his abilities.
I only discovered him recently. Although his skills were obvious, I wasn't sure he would be able to defeat Donaire.
I honestly expected a much closer , risky fight for Rigondeaux. He deserves all the credit he gets.
(And so the ones who predicted such a dominant win , very good insight!)
