Who wants to see Mares-Rigondeaux?

You guys don't ever learn ay bro!! Mares would be very competitive against Rigo. And as a fan, I'll be routing for him all the way win or lose. I'm not saying he won't or can't be, but when push comes to shove, I think Mares will wind up following Rigo around. Mares showed against Moreno that he's willing to walk/run down his opponent and pulverize them. I think he'd be too willing in the aggressor role and get caught with something vicious. The question is, how many risks is Mares willing to take in order to get the biggest W of his career? I think he's willing to walk through fire, but I don't think he's actually capable of doing so. He's gonna need to freeze Rigo cuz he won't be able out-maneuver him. Chances are he won't be able to out-box Rigo either. Mares is left with one option and it's something he enjoys doing: pressure. He just doesn't have the power to go with it.

I think watching Rigo befuddle and counter Mares to death will be pretty entertaining lol. I want to see how many straight lefts Mares is capable of (or willing to) absorbing in order to pin Rigo down. I kept thinking tonight that a good Mexican pressure fighter would be the best matchup against Rigo. Mares fits that description somewhat but Santa Cruz does especially. They would either win or get KO'd trying. Unfortunately both are with Golden Boy and we all know how that goes.

Would be a good fight for Rigo resume-wise.. But, Mares gets schooled worse than Donaire, but would push the fight more than he did. The fight that would be interesting is Rigondeaux vs Santa Cruz.
