Did i say Rigo was going to dominate, no, but i said it would be close and NO WAY thought Rigo was going to sleep. The boxing geniuses on this site proved their great skills again by claiming that Rigo was going to be put to sleep. I told them i saw Narvaez go the distance with Donaire ringside, and they said Rigo has no chin and even threw Red K claiming i was a delusional American of Cuban blood. Yet they fail to realize that Donaire is a counter puncher and feeds off mistakes, Rigo makes no mistakes. As for the fight it was dull, and i am glad that i didn't go, will enjoy the Wagner Ring Cycle at the Met instead. that texas rookie marroquin put a better effort than donaire, nonito was frustrated and looked clueless most of the fight...

I thought it would be a tough fight for Donaire, but that was crazy. Donaire looked like s**t in there. It seems like he could have prepared himself better by having Robert be there to train him. I also think its possible his wife and soon to be baby have his mind somewhere else during this time of his life. It seems like he was not completely focused on the fight. I'd like to see this fight again within the year just to see what Donaire is made of.

Some fans need to re-study boxing all over again and stop picking fighters to win based on just on their knockouts. Donaire had never faced a pure boxer, with speed, and a defense like Rigo: A "mere amateur fighter" at that. I like Donaire, and felt this was a 50/50 fight and Donaire's only chance would be to get that well timed shot... he just couldn't do it.
