How is it that he could say no, yet Guerrero couldn't? Is this part of FMJ's big money contract with them?
We don't know what really happened with that.
But if Floyd did say no, he does have that power to do so. Floyd Mayweather is still paying A LOT of the bills for this next fight. Meaning a lot of the marketing bills, comes out of Floyd's pockets. Guerrero's purse, comes out of Floyd's pockets, not Showtimes. Floyd foots a lot of the bills for his fights, and in return, gets a huge portion of the profits (including money from the drinks and food that gets sold in the arena).
That's why I laugh when people say Floyd will go broke or is going broke. Because for every fight Floyd plans to have, he absolutely MUST stash millions upon millions away to use towards a future fight. In order for him to do that, he has to have a certain discipline financially.
The 48 hr trip you mean while Robert was not in training , not Floyd Showtime , Floyd just said no to showtime while Robert could not .

Did Floyd send Guerrero on the media tour on his own?

You fight Victor Ortiz and see how soft he hits.
he has had 3 fights at welter and zero ko's. oh wow he floored berto....wait even pillow punching guerrero did that.
his health is more important! he has to duck prime punchers! he only fights old, smaller, and light punchers! gotta keep that zero!

It was the first episode and I'm sure they will go into the training of Guerrero and the details on his arrest.
This is the biggest fight of Guerrero's career, he will be ready to go I can guarantee that.
Don't give false hope on Guerrero! Floyd pick him coz it's that style that Floyd can beat! Guererro lost to much lesser opponents! Diaz & Salido's not even top tier fighters. Yordan was schooling him when Guerrero quits! Guerrero has no Ko power at 147.
Don't sell Floyd! Or else Floyd will keep picking his opponents for the rest of his career! watch at Livestream or Replay! Floyd by UD!
Which doesn't make any sense. To drum up interest you want people to think that Guerrero has an actual shot to win.
Portraying Floyd as already putting Ghost at a disadvantage will turn people off from paying for the fight. People already don't know who he is, why would you sell the fact that he is not training as hard as Floyd?
They should be selling this one like Pac/Margarito. HBO sold turmoil in camp between Ariza and Konz and distractions for Pac. Made people think Margacheato actually had a shot.

They are trying to make it seem mayweather is training all hard and guerrero is not

I don't think they mentioned anything about the gun. Could be wrong though.
Overall a boring episode. They need to show more training for the next one.
The arrest for the gun was mentioned at the very end. Showed footage of the arrest and whatnot.
it's the same as usual. 43-0 no blueprint
hardwork dedication
showing a bit of time with his family showing he's nice
giving out money
Guererro
talking about his wives cancer and overcoming that
with his dad in a quite gym to seem as if he's the complete oppoisite
started from the bottom and now he's here
and a bit about the gun

Yeah I though it was alright but can't compare to Liev.
Morgan Freeman was the obvious choice:Thinkingo
i like the dude who was in the jamaican steven segal movie and who was nu-nu's dad in the movie ATL. I forget his name.
I love the contrast of Floyd training and Robert doing the press tour this is what a lesser known contender should be doing..Telling the people his story.
I hope Robert makes the best of this opportunity....
Didn't anybody else notice that at the end, when they showed the credits, that Floyd Mayweather was one of the Executive Producers (money men). They even had his name before Ross Greenburgs. I'm sure he had some say so in certain aspects of the production (i.e. he might have been the one who wanted COMMON narrating). Just found that a little interesting.
