On the Road to Donaire-Rigondeaux, Max Kellerman said:
Donaire has the most THREATENING Fight he can have on paper! You can't say in terms of talent, that Rigondeaux is lesser than with anybody. Can he take Donaire's power and if he could, oh boy this is really getting good and still, you have to have your eyes glued because this is the kind of fight that could end at any moment!
Strong words from Kellerman and I agree with him, Donaire is fighting the best he can possibly fight. In an era where all the top boxers refuse to fight each, it's great to see Donaire not duck anyone and put his legacy on the line for us fans so we can watch the best fight we could possibly see.

If Gamboa can make 126, I'd love to see Donaire fight another Cuban right after Rigo.
Dam that would be a great fight. And everyone thinking Donaire was ducking Rigo, what champions fight a guy with so little fights on their record. Its now and he only has 11 fights. Rigo should be greatful. And Props to Donaire for taking the fight. Alot of other boxers would have avoided Rigo blamed his limited pro record, and would have been forgiven. Either way the fight has me hyped up for saturday.
Max is not the person to listen to for this fight simply because he has been madly in love with all Southpaws since the days of Pernell Whitaker. It doesn't make Kellerman wrong, just that it is hard to follow him with an open mind when he is talking about a southpaw because he is heavily biased towards them. It's better to listen to a panel of experts to get varrying degrees of opinions. Not hard to see either fighter winning by KO or by decision. Nothing would surprise me in this fight.
Oh thanks I never knew that.
Until he moves up but props to Nino. Hes fighting a very dangerous guy.

So you think those are the only guys he has fought? Guess you are new to Boxing and never heard of Darchinyan, Montiel, Arce and others. The left hood is lethal, not up for debate. The only thing debatable is if Rigo can avoid it or take it and not be badly hurt or recover quickly. If so, then Rigo MAY win.
Yeah Darchinyan, Montiel and Arce all felt Donaire's left hook and they couldn't hold up. Donaire also has a straight right that Rigondeaux needs to worry about.
You mean like he did with Mathebula, and with Vasquez and Nishioka? Damn.. he wrecked those guys with his left hook.So you think those are the only guys he has fought? I agree this is close to a pick-em fight but I give the edge to Nonito. Donaire just has that left hook that can't be ignored and he can end this fight at any moment if it connects.

donaires excuses are over i'd be suprised if he catches rigo cleanly on saturday.
rigos to accurate and defensive. donaire will end up being too agressive and tasting unnecessary shots
That's exactly how I see it. Also I see donaire getting frustrated & eagered to land & that's when he will the mistake of being to aggressive.
I am so damn excited for this fight. I could see this thing going any number of ways. Rigo has the ability to out box Donaire or even stop him, but he could just as easily have the reverse happen to him. I've been real critical of Donaire in the past, but props to him for taking this fight.
While I think Rigo might be a rarer talent, Donaire has been prize fighting much longer and has thus fought good opponents and has gotten great sparring in those camps. Rigo has to show that his talent makes up for the prize fighting experience.
Donaire should be favored, but Rigo stands more than just a chance. Let's see how he handles real power.

I know Kellerman has the biggest hardon right now for this fight. He's been drooling all over for this match up.

Please dude. Donaire gets more then enough credit. Donaire gets credit as the guy cleaning up the sport by forcing fighters into testing while others are called cowards. Donaire takes this fight and is getting credit for taking this fight even thought Rigo was the one pressing for it while Donaire was the one making all the excuses why this fight shouldn't happen. You see Donaire always gets more then enough credit for things other fighters get hate for and discredit for. Rigo should be the one getting the credit for being the one determined to force this fight to happen. Yet Donaire is the one getting credit for it more then Rigo.
lol i think we both know which rabid group of idiots donaire naturally inherited. have you been on youtube lately? i'm still big on donaire but, no lie, a part of me wants to see him lose this saturday.
True. If Donaire stops Rigo I'm afraid he won't get the credit that he deserves though, people will all of a sudden call Rigo an amateur with no resume who only fought bums in the pros prior to Donaire.
you forgot the midget excuse also...rigo is about 2 inches shorter than donaire. but yah haters will hate no matter what...
Props for Rigo's determination into finally being able to get Donaire in the ring. Thank you Rigo for making this coming Saturday a great day for boxing!!!!!

you will only hear that to haters and there's a big paycheck waiting to both, good luck to both of them, and hopefully they'll give us what we want, a war! btw I got donaire by mid-round KO or a close but UD
