Yeah but he was talking about getting those guys in their prime. Castillo and Corrales were great wins. But those fights happened in 2001-2002. Ricky Hatton had never fought at 147 and is not a HOF type fighter. Your saying he fought the prime version of Sugar Shane Mosley? The Margacheato win was fools gold and he was a year and a half removed from it as well. Your saying he fought the best version of JMM? A guy in his late 30's that had never fought above 135 and physically not at his best. The JMM that took out Pac was a guy that gained the weight properly and had some tune up fights at the weight. Not to mention Floyd cheated him on the scales. Did he fight the best versions of ODL? Cotto? Paul Williams? Margarito? Pacquaio? Not saying all those were entirely his fault, but legacy wise most of the names on his resume were not prime at the time he got them. But hey, he did defeat a young lion in Victor Ortiz right? I think Guerrero is better than most people do but just a little over a year ago even Floyd was scoffing at the idea of Ghost getting a shot at him. Guerrero jumped two weight divisions and fought his way into consideration for a Floyd fight. It's not his fault that he is not as athletically gifted and skilled as Mayweather. Very few, if any fighters in the game today are. Just because he's not an ATG, HOF'er doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve or hasn't earned a shot.

Well, if he fought more regularly his challengers, even if they arent all time greats, he would nt be given such a hard time and considered a joke. Making everyone eagerly anticipate your return, you are going to have to do something special, but only the biggest Floyd fanboy would say fighting Guerrero is going beyond the call of duty. It's not that tough of a fight. But guererro is still a top 5 ww and in top 3 choices since Bradley and PAC are automatically out of the picture

All the hype around floyd vs guerrero is dumb :boxing:....its practically a guaranteed W for Floyd easy money. just look at type opponents Guerrero has faced compared to floyd's record. Ortiz whooped on Berto and was damaged goods when he got to guerrero and Lopez whopped on Ortiz who then was destroyed by Canelo If you see Guerrero's fights he leave his right hand below his chin and walks into punches which is a amazing setup for floyd's signature left hook.We are talking about a guy that fought on the same cards as Rocky Juarez,Juan Diaz even Danny Garcia not to talk down on them they are all Good fighters but compared to PBF they are on lower tier level except for maybe Garcia . Guerrero's chin may have carried him this far and he did take alot of punishment in the Berto fight getting hit flush but on 05/04 that chin will become glass I predict easy fight 8RD TKO advantage Floyd.Got to give props to mayweather's team he also has an amazing adviser in Al Haymon.Floyd is a business man and a good choice of a tuneup fight with a B class opponent..what are ya'll thoughts? another guy penalyzing Floyd for being too good.
