Right....He just knew that he would lose a rematch...anmd you know this because you can read Lewis' mind right? Lets try a new approach and use the brain shall we?
Lewis did something stupid when he signed on for fighting /Vitali...he had been training for a small fat opponent that would not pose any problem for him. Instead he winds up with Vitali. This tells us that Lewis could have been in a lot better condition for Vitali if he had trained for Vitali! So why would Lewis feel like he couldn't do this preparation?
In the past Lewis never ducked anyone...Unlike Vitali and his brother and he certainly never feared any other fighter.
Lewis decided that he didn't want to make the preperations to fight Vitali. It was not a duck because he didn't owe Vitali any consideration. It was not out of fear it was a mature understanding of not wanting to do the work...Lewis was tired of fighting.
Finally, "lose a rematch?" how many rematches did Lewis lose? How many fighters that beat Lewis did he beat? and...lets look at the difference....Lewis did not wait until Oliver Mccall and Rahman had become irrelelvant...he rematched them right away. Meanwhile the klit twins? Vlad particularly? never rematched his daddy Sanders, and when he did rematch Brewster, Brewster was a shadow of himself.
My point is that your defamations against Lewis do not hold up when we look at the actual behavoir of the individual involved...furthermore there is plenty of evidence that the Klits ducked a whole bunch of people.
Regarding Vitali? Vitali had nothing to lose fighting Lewis in a rematch. He did a good job. But I doubt he would have beat a prepared Lewis and Lewis did stop him.
You typed all that without including a single word of substance as to why my opinion was wrong. Your argument is basically saying that I am not allowed to speculate on one's mindset but you are. I'm going off of what happened in the ring. You're just playing favorites.
don't understand all the bitching about the Klits
agree on the Vit-Lewis thing, that crap needs to go
but nothing else about them or their biggest fans is that bad
they've both been good representatives of boxing
Lewis might very well have gotten knocked out during the next couple rounds had the fight gone on. He was gassed man, gone. Vitali was about to get him out of there any moment. That's why Vitali was so pissed off that they stopped him.
So yes, he definitely owed him a rematch, and it will haunt him for the rest of his days.

Lewis did not stop the fight. Lewis took Vitali's best punches. There is no reason to assume that:
a) the fact that Vitali was ahead (marginally) on the scorecards meant anything because
b) this fight would not have gone the distance...You want proof of that assertion? IT DIDN'T GO THE DISTANCE and Vitali would have had to protect his face because it was opened up with....
c) a punch or two or three.
Lewis catches more **** for this fight when he has absolutely no reason too.

Good post.
Freedom, Weltschmerz and Simurgh are among the best posters here.
Hahaha
Simurgh is a good poster, I think most people have a lot of time for the guy. The two others, no no.
it's pretty crap and one-sided. Both men were roughed up but Vitali was ahead and winning the fight. That's the facts.
And don't start about Haye again, he missed his chance fighting Vitali, simple.

I watched that fight as a Lewis fan and felt Vitali was winning. The retirement was his only way to save face and get out while the getting was good. He knew he'd likely lose a rematch. If someone wants to talk **** about Vitali, the Lewis fight is absolutely the stupidest way to go about it.

Freedom is a racist piece of shit called Joe McKKKenzie/Tunney/Freedom2013 etc. I wouldn't be surprised if Weltschmerz was his alt via Proxy. I don't respect him at all.

No it wasn't it was pretty much how it happened. No one is saying Vitali was losing or put up a bad performance, but he lost fair and square. Lennox opened his face right up. And both were in deep waters.
You talk more about Haye than I do!! He's practically all you talk about.
First off, no he didn't. Lennox roughed Vitali up. Check out Damutz' analysis of the fight ^^, it's pretty good.
Second, how are they not nearly the same?
Vitali is on his way to retirement, doesn't want to fight Haye but should according to many fans.
