AUDLEY HARRISON’s next opponent has threatened to eat him alive when they step into the ring next month.
Harrison will face America’s top heavyweight prospect Deontay ‘Bronze Bomber’ Wilder in Sheffield.
And while Harrison hopes to resurrect his flagging career, Wilder has vowed to destroy the 37-year-old to boost his reputation on both sides of the Pond.
Wilder, 27, has won all of his 27 pro fights by knockout and said: “I’m a starving lion that’s ready to eat and my next meal will be served in Sheffield.

Wladimir said Wilder was the best sparring partner he's had, and thinks Deontay will rule the heavyweight division after he retires.
The link is in my heavyweight schedule thread from a few months ago.
Not sure that's true, Freedom.
Some photos surfaced of Wilder's swollen face. He had some cuts, too.
Apparently he was knocked around the ring by Wlad.
Wilder cannot stop destiny. That big left hand is coming, and there's not a man born from his mother who can stop it.
I've got my Audley tinted glasses on! I believe. This is redemption!
Why do the British writers do this all the time? Who the F said Deontay Wilder is the USA's #1 HW?? No one thinks that...Stop trying to set up the British fans with unrealistic expectations. They wont be seeing the best HW from America if they tune in or buy a ticket to the show. Audley wont be pulling the greatest upset in the history, or even the year, in boxing if he wins. If he loses, its because he wasnt as good as a decent prospect, which is what Wilder is, not that he lost to a future ATG or something and it should be taken with a grain of salt....Also, how could Wilder be the best american HW, when they already said Fury is fighting the best American heavyweight in Steve Cunningham? Hahaha....Seriously though, neither of them are top 5 HW's in the US. Save the hyperbole, sales gimmicks, and shennanigans for Professional Wrestling.
i will be skeptical of wilder much like i was skeptical of david price. i wouldn't get too excited about price until he took a legit HWs punch & i think the exact same thing about wilder. mitchell & price have both fallen down so i'm wondering if wilder will be next? too many unanswered questions to this point. the only way these fighters will see where they really stand in the division is if they fight each other or at least fight good opposition.anyone with some skill can build a 30-0 record fighting stiffs & journeymen. how will they respond if their opponent doesn't fall down when they get hit by their best shot? a couple of losses vs quality opposition will help your career more then fighting cans & being protected. most of the greats had a hiccup or 2 at one point...

:lol1: a starving lion?!?....more like a house cat!!...WAR AUDLEY!!!! :boxing:
deontay may be a little wet behind the ears , but don't go to the fridge . he will make short work of harrison ! as for him sparring with K he was given a bonus for his excellence in helping him prepare . Haye proably sent him home early because he was whooping that ass !
Wouldn't surprise me either, but still think Fury will get the win. Probably a close UD.
I'm not saying Fury will lose, I'm saying he'll get exposed big time but will get the win by robbery.Altough I hope i'm wrong, Steve deserves that big win after Adamek fiasco
I think this month, HW contenders will get exposed. Mark my words, Cunningham will run circles around Fury and old Audley will KO that bum killer from US. The only decent contenders right now are Jennings and Kubrat Pulev but they're not running their mouths like those two.

I think I read somewhere that Deontay did some training with one of the Klitchko brothers. If so he probably learned enough and felt enough in sparring to beat Harrison.
Yes, but he was also sent home from the Haye camp because he was useless. This was after he sparred with the Klitschkos. And if i'm remembering correctly, he was only with the bros for a very short period of time. He sparred Audley, and some times he got the better of Wilder, sometimes Wilder got the better of him. So maybe they are both confident?

Let's be honest here. Not claiming Audley is great or anything like that, but Wilder hasn't faced anyone of Audley's caliber. Wilder has limited skills at best, he throws wild shots and on lesser opponents they will land. Audley seems to be in great physical condition (he looked 30 in Prizefighter) and he seems to have some of his groove back. If anything like the Audley of 2004 shows up I won't be surprised if he beats wilder.
For once I actually want Audley to win.
If he avoids the right hand he might last a few rounds and make it difficult for the wild one, but then again, he's not very good at avoiding right hands!
