You're missing my point..... YES Chavez Jr is a huge step up for Golpvkin right NOW, as In if he is his next opponent.... But from what I understood you were mentioning JCC JR as an opponent for GGG AFTER a fight with Geale if h was to fight and beat Geale....
Would Chavez be a step up for Golpvkin after beating Geale???? Debateable, at best. (tjats what were talkig about here, no?) GGG beating Geale and then fighting JCC would be a small step backwards, if anything. the next logical fight would be Martinez. IMO.
Geale is undefeated, has a title and is a champion and is better then Chavez jr in a lot of people's eyes, myself included.... So how the hell would Chavez Jr be a step up after that fight? What would a JCC jr fight at that point prove besides the fact that he's on par with Martienz (assuming he wins)? If he wants to go the money route, Okay. But what I'm saying is if GGG beats Geale and takes his belt, his next step forward would be MARTINEZ, not Chavez Jr, I don't even know how you could think otherwise. Chavez Je has his own work to do, you say "it's not liek he lost by brutal KO" okay but he lost to the MAN at 160....his first big step up in competition. Who the hell has he beat before the Martinez fight? Manfredo? Rubio? Lee? Chavez jr would havr to earn a fight with Golovkin if he was to beat Geale, not the other way around. That's all I'm saying.
To each his own. If i put words in your mouth, sorry. Cheers.
GGG ducking Chavez
:)
Criticizing a fighter does not make you a hater. I always criticized Canelo when I was a fan of his but that's no longer the case. I criticized GGG's fight vs Ishida and I certainly dont "hate" him. As a matter of fact, I have put about 5 people on GGG. Something I definitely wouldn't do if I "hated" a fighter, like Broner. I haven't told ONE person about Broner.
Never even criticise GGG, not even once am just not subscribing to everyone is "Ducking" him theory... The reason am a hater is because am not on the "The whole Middleweight is ducking GGG" which is cool. I just think he needs more fights and going up level by level before I accuse the number 1 guy who had to do a lot of hardwork himself to get to his position of ducking a guy that most of these fanboys only watch for 6 months.
Adrian Diaconu?!
Listen, you talk about "fanboys" yet in every Golovkin thread you are in there criticizing him and/or defending the excuses of why top guys wont fight him. It doesn't stop with you, so yeah, if people call you a hater there certainly is a reason for it.

Don't put words in my mouth, what I meant is that because the upcoming fights could be co-promoted by Top Rank, Di Bella, and K2 it is possible that HBO (and the said promoters) are trying to build up a high profile opponent for Martinez and Chavez to fight (all this assuming the rumors are true of course). Whether it's fair or not from a boxing perspective I don't really know nor care.
Chavez Jr is huge a step up for GGG anyway, it's not like JR is coming back from a brutal KO and that match up would be a FOTY candidate. Under the same premise (on the first paragraph), a Martinez fight would just as likely if not more.

Bob Arum has been "Bigging" up Golovkin lately which suggest he either has a stake in him or he might be lining him up against one of his fighters.. He was talking about HBO pumping money into fighters like GGG.
Everyone from 154 to 175 are scared of that man. He has 4 damn divisions shook bro! That includes Ward and Hopkins.

Yea some of these fanboys are just pathetic, I remember how Adrian Diaconu was been ducked by Chad Dawson and everyone, then they move on to Pirog being ducked by Martinez. And if you feel like that isn't the case then you are a "Hater who supports ducking" or "You are one of the reasons fighters are ducking" lol..... You got to love fanboys, Lets remove Martinez from the P4P list because he refuse to fight our latest "Hype" lol.
I understand he's a draw. Like i said, business aside.... Fan support and number of counteymen willing to buy a guys PPV has absolutely nothing to do with the boxing side of......boxing. JCC JR could lose 5 fights in a row, and he'd STILL be a draw. So what's your point? that would mean GGG is going down the same cherry-picking, "pick the fighter with the most supporters so I can get paid" money route, that other fighters i wont name , make a living on. isn't that the route his detractors DON'T want him to go?
if he fights guys just for "money" he'd be defending his title in Germany against anybody on his own cards or on Wlads undercards and getting career paydays every fight. maybe Geale would like that fight, but GGG is out to fight the best.... And a win against Geale SHOULD land Golovkin nothing short of a Martinez fight. Simple as that. IMO.
Edit: don't get me wrong, I'm not against a GGG- Chavez Jr fight- in fact id love to see that fight. But the way you worded your post.... You were saying that the winner of Geale-Golpvkin (both champions btw) could get Chavez jr as if he's the next step up or reward for beating another champ. If the winner wants to defend against him, fine... But I'm almost 10000000% sure that if GGG was to fight and beat Geale, his handlers would be pushing for nothing short of a fight with Martinez to determine the top dog at 160: something that Chavez Je does not bring to the table, regardless of how much money he brings. IMO of course.

:thinkerg: Great backtracking
No need to backtrack on anything, no one is scared of GGG and would get his chance, if not Macklin it would be another person, just like I told you 6 months ago when you discover GGG am telling you the same thing now.

Lol, what world do you live in? Chavez Jr is a draw, and being a money fight everyone wants him.
What I was thinking is that if the Macklin/GGG 'mini tournament' (assuming the rumors are true) is co-promoted between Top Rank, DI Bella, and K2 then they might be warming up a future opponent for Martinez and/or Chavez Jr. perhaps partly at HBO's insistence.

No way, so much for no one wanting to fight 3G.. Like I said previously "He would get his chance"
He would get his chance to reject the fight, again:rofl:
The winner get Chavez Jr? Wait What? Are you talking about the winner of Golovkin-Geale? Not sure if I understand that statement.
Chavez doesn't even have a belt anymore....... Why would the winner of a fight between two champions "get Chavez Jr" as if that's some sort of reward or next big step up? The winner get Martinez? Yes. The winner defend his belt against whoever he wants, JCC Jr being one of the men who gets the title shot? Sure.
But the winner of Golovkin-Geale doesn't "get Chavez Jr" as if that's some kind of reward for beating the other title holder. Sorry bro. (must be a big JCC JR fan, so no hate)
JCC had a title and clearly lost against Martinez... Now he's back to the drAwing board and has to fight his way to a another title, just like any other contender such as Macklin, etc. - not be the reward between two champions fighting each other (Martinez would/ should be)
Number of fan support and name popularity doesn't mean squat in pure boxing terms. No one gets a free pass. Lol.

Lou is happy to keep GGG away from Martinez, but in all honesty, GGG needs to fight guys like Macklin, Barker etc to get to Martinez. I dont blame Macklin for wanting a tune up first, he;s been inactive, but even with a tune up, GGG i think will stop him.
but why they decide this a few weeks before the Martinez fight...that is bullshiet...what if Martinez wants to fight GGG after Murray cause Chavez cant make 160...another "filler" fight? time is very limited for Martinez...
