Anybody remember him?
People were saying everyone was ducking him way back in last year, yeah?
He fought Danny Jacobs and Ishida?
So weird. He got injured and was then stripped of his title, and it's like his name was put on a black list on NSB or something. No one is including him in any discussions in middleweight matchups.
Dude is still undefeated and a hell of a fighter. All this talk of guys like Vera and Macklin getting title shots, what about Pirog?
Pirog has been very unlucky, he's has been avoided in america and struggled with a injury for years. To bad, he is a very good boxer, very fluid.
This was a great way to showcase his skill in his first fight in america.
but he' wasnt supose to win. They interviewed the looser

Pirog totally disappeared from the radar, and it's probably due to his back injury. He didn't accomplish much while he was around, and doesn't seem like he'll have the longevity to become a top 3 MW.
He informed HBO that he would be ready to fight this month (March) back in November.
I think I remember Steven Kim saying that Al Haymon was blocking him from being back on HBO, but we all know how full of **** that guy can be.

The guy is on the sidelines with an injury and really hasn't done much since Jacobs.... I don't see a reason to talk about him
It is funny how everyone was saying Sergio was ducking him though
Yea, the same way he's ducking GGG. -_-

Best way to sum it up. It seems as though GGG has replaced him.
IMO Pirog is the far more advanced fighter, and has much better defense. Too bad he's always injured.
Yea I also think Pirog was a lot better than GGG, hope his injuries have not done much damage to his boxing career.
I remember him well. He is a very good all around fighter. He is fast and a good boxer. He hits hard, takes a good punch and has stamina and gameness. I wonder why he never fought GGG since Martinez does not want to fight either of them or he would have fought them by now.

It's hard to talk about him when he's not fighting. He's been hurt a couple times in the past year, I think, including right now. I've heard that Golovkin-Pirog might be made in June, though I don't know how feasible that is anymore.
GGG has carjacked his bandwagon.

He SO has.
My question is; why is GGG fighting Ishida when Pirog isn't doing anything? Dmitry said he wanted to come back on HBO in Spring 2013. Well?
Both of these guys are championed as "most avoided fighter" by their fans.
Remember when Williams and Martinez, two other guys rockin' that title, fought? **** was classic both times around.
Let's do Pirog-GGG.
That's what we want, but nobody knows wtf is up with this guy. He supposedly still has an injury.... but nobody has heard anything
