I'm rewatching the Nonito - Vazquez jr fight and nonito really struggled down the stretch, was a very tough on him in the last 3 rounds. He wasn't very impressive in this fight at all, esp against a basic fighter with no am experience.
It'll most likely be fine not like Rigondeaux fights at some torrid pace if He can't get in tip-top shape for this fight then he deserves whatever happens.
I agree, Nonito should be fine. But he'll be the aggressor in this fight and, although I don't expect Rigo to run all night, it takes more energy to attack than to defend. Since Guillermo is himself in great shape, it could get interesting down the stretch.
Lol. I have a feeling Rigo will pull a "narvaez" and fight will go to twelve.
I have a feeling this fight will be a virtual career buster for Nonito if he sleeps on Rigo even a bit. This is just the kind of fight that will bring the best out in both guys......the issue is that people think they have already seen the best of Rigo (I don not think this is the case at all) and I believe Nonito is aware of this and is starting to become very concerned. His preparation for this fight seems very different from past fights and a drastic training change like this can sometimes have a negative affect on a boxer leading into a fight.
Something about Nonito's build just looks to me like he is too big for the smaller classes but not yet filed in for his current class. He is a big fighter for where he has been but his body does not promote the image that he has great stamina.
I think his stamina is fine for a 12 round fight tbh. His stomach is a very weak area though, I'm sure he is focusing on that for this fight with Rigo.
He went 12 with Mathebula and didnt seem to Gas all that much but if Rigo lands any of he's body power shots take minutes off he's gas tank for each he takes if he doesn't kneel right away.

Donaire need only about 5rds for this fight!
I think his stamina will be good. I have not noticed a lack of stamina in his past fights. He trains hard and he beats the best fighters he can get in the ring with. He usually gets them out early but I think he will be prepared if it goes 12 rounds.

Hard to tell cause he's never really faced anyone who could hurt him. Darchinyan and Montiel were the only ones and with the size advantage I doubt their punches affected Donaire (which they didn't obviously).
We'll find out April 13 when he takes a couple of body shots.

Esp against a basic fighter with no am experience??????
How is that even relevant to anything?
Anyways , he should be good then. Because since am experience is all that counts and Rigo has only fought 11 times out of 500+ in the pros , meaning he has not been past the 3rd round a lot I'm guessing Donaire caught a break? The 2 things contradict each other. Am experience and stamina. Am fighters only fight 3 rounds.
Right , that's what you are trying to say?
