The guy is Liev Schreiber, the guy who plays Sabertooth in Wolverine, he actually makes the 24/7 programme so good in my opinion. It would be good if Showtime could get him for their All Access programme otherwise I think it won't have the same gloss as the 24/7 series.
That's why nothing touches 24/7. The overall production is top notch. The best 24/7 was Floyd/Mosley. You literally can't get any better than that.
But holy ****. That's the guy that does the voice!? Woah.Wow you never see Al Haymon. This was the best 24/7 ever
Fantastic VO artist. If it weren't for his narration, my wife would probably never sit through any of the 24/7s. She actually watches them because they're so good and doesn't bother watching actual flights.
He actually is a huge boxing fan and was supposed to do the "True" Rocky Story about Chuck Weipner. Like previously said, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't do the all access for Showtime, considering he does all the sports narration for HBO but he does seem to bring some flare to the show!
He's really good but there's too much forced narration of the 24/7 episodes. Showtime episodes are more natural and leave room for more interesting stuff about the fighters themselves.
For the record the best ever closing sequences for 24/7 episodes are these two:
He also does/did the voice over for Infinity cars I think.
He is starring in a new series on SHO this year and I see some scenes take place in a boxing gym, looks like boxing might be a backdrop to the main theme of the show
I believe hes doing a tv show for showtime if im not mistaken...maybe that relationship can bring him over to All Access but i would have to assume taping has already begun.
yep. classic.
loved the beginning of this one:
That's what I'm talking about man...HBO has a flair for the dramatic...and they do it EXCEPTIONALLY well. The last minute or so of that Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 posted above send chills. I remember watching so many episodes of 24/7 and thinking "Man, these dudes REALLY make a simple boxing match seem so dramatic and epic"...despite recognizing their melodramatic angle, it still made me anticipate the fight more.
Based on the All Access previews, it doesn't hold a candle to 24/7.

Weird, I swear I had this EXACT same thought on Monday when the GBP/HBO news broke.
