Most dont think he can move but Im not sure I believe that. I just think he's copied Floyd's style of in the pocket and he's fighting guys his size or smaller. I do think if he fights a bigger/stroner dude you will see him get on his toes more, move more, and box light on his feet. I
just think he hasnt had to do it yet but he has it in his arsenal. I dont think he can move super fast like Floyd before recently but I think maybe you can see him be a lil nice on his feet like Floyd vs Mosley or something
Nope. Not Malignaggi, not at this stage. I've said multiple times if you take the Paulie from 2-3 years ago vs this version of Broner, Paulie schools him. But if you watched Paulie's last fight you could tell his legs are gone. He doesn't have the same movement and his reflexes have diminished.
Us Broner "haters" can only hope Paulie sprays some deer antler velvet on those legs and rejuvenates them one last time. :lol1:

Imagine if he did? Think of how high Malignaggi might go, but he won't get full credit unless he knocks Broner out, which may very well not happen.
Either way, I don't see how people rate this guy so highly. He's not improving, he's getting by. He's been the same fighter since 4 round fights.
Paulie has the skills, Broner has the youth. It'll be interesting.
Not denying that, but Danny's counter left hook isn't used with the same regularity as Broner, he's not as accurate with it either. If you watch Broner's earlier fights, that counter left hook has stuck with him since the beginning, it's a good thing he's continued to polish it.
you right bro danny is a little wider with everything he needs to stay more crispy like pops tells him.
Something else I wanted to mention, even though he likes to counter from mid range; step back counters and walk his opponents down predominantly, he does so patiently, he knew when he was ready to take Escobedo out, he literally played with DeMarco for 2 rounds before taking him out. Have we ever seen his aggressively pursue his opponents the way Rios and Peterson do at times. I say this because, if confronted against a solid boxer...we may see a different Broner than the one we're used to. This is why I would have liked to have seen him against Abril, Vazuqez or Burns.
dannys left hook and right hands are pretty accurate

You want us to tell you what we think about something that he hasn't shown but YOU THINK is there? :nonono:
What I can do is tell you about what we've seen and that's no footwork. A wide stationary stance which will struggle vs someone who moves and doesn't stand there when he walks them down.

this! I was going to say "what footwork"? Broner is overrated.
He hasn't faced an opponent that has forced him to change his approach, so I can't really judge his foot work. Hypothetically speaking, lets say he is flat footed, one still has to deal with his stiff jab, lead right and counter left hook, a counter left hook that's also devastating, used consistently as well and far more accurate than Donaire or Danny's. That's become a major weapon in his arsenal.

i suggest some of u watch his earlier fights. he used to be a very jumpy fighter. his wide stance and planted feet is a rather recent thing in fact. its part of his style. he doesnt have to do it thats for sure. but i pefer him like that. its rather fooish to think he doesnt have good enough footwork when, frankly, thats not his game. and u dont need great footwork to be a master boxer. ask winky wright.
I have never really seen any footwork from him. Straight-lined movements with a very wide stance and putting his weight on his back foot whilst shoulder rolling. I'm sure he is capable of footwork to some degree but will he be able to turn it on like a switch when he needs it to avoid getting put down after not using it for 75% of his career?
Do you mean Broner? What Olympics did he fight in?
I said Olympic "CALIBER". MEANING whether or not he actually made it to the Olympics he was within reasonable contention of doing so.

That someone is Malignaggi btw. Yes, I am agreeing.

i think broner has good footwork, not great but good.
he doesnt move around a lot, but thats due to his style more than anything imo. its by choice because he wants to go after his opponents for the most part, on the few occasions he decided to use the ring he moved pretty well.
he does have a wide stance for the most part, but he adapts his stance to whatever style hes using at the moment. look at floyd for example, he has a wide stance too when hes fighting aggressively but when he decides to move he tightens it up. broner does the same, difference is broner is aggressive much more often. now im not saying he moves as well as floyd, but he does switch it up in the same manner.
also i think ppl expect good footwork to be guys moving all over the place, but you can have great footwork without making a lot of movements and relying more on positioning, thats what broner does.
look at pacquiao and marquez, i remember hbo making a point about how pacs footwork was better than marquez' but thats not the case. he moves more and faster but marquez has better balance and positions himself better, thats why hes so effective countering pacquiao. broner doesnt have pacquiao like footwork, its more like marquez' (but not on the same level).
making small moves allowing himself to use angles while maintaining his ability to punch at all times and keeping his balance at all times.
