If Devon Alexander beats Kell Brook convincingly will he get credit?

If Devon beats Brook, its a decent win over a 147 contender. If Brook beats Devon, its a win over a 2 weight champ and guy whos been a tough fighter against tiugh opposition. Its a good win for Brook as opposed to a decent win for Devon.

Kotenik and Matthyse won cleanly. Devon is still pretty good, though. I expect this to be a really competitive fight if Brook doesnt gas out after six again, but Devon should win.

We've seen enough of Kell Brook to form an opinion of him. It sounds like you're going to say that Brook wasn't that good if Devon beats him. Or if Brook wins you're going to say that Devon was right to be criticized in the first place. :dunno: if brook fights like shit, i will say he fought like shit. if he fights well enough and still gets beat, i'll give alexander plenty of credit. i don't get how you can distribute credit before you've actually seen the fight.

The Carson Jones fight exposed some c h i n k s in Brook's armor but I like that he went and got a nutritionist after that and an S&C coach as well. Theoretically he should be an improved version of himself. In terms of his chin I don't believe he will have to worry about that too much against Alexander. But he might see some new wrinkles boxing-wise and it will be interesting to see if he can handle them and still get the win.

And not only that, he quit from a minor injury. 2) He was on the receiving end of a gift decision. I thought his performance against Marcos Maidana was tremendous. One of his better showings. Devon displayed some nice boxing ability in that one and was able to shut down everything Maidana tried to do. I don't know who I'm picking yet but Brook is no joke and he is a real threat to win that belt off of Devon. Devon definitely deserves good credit if he beats Brook convincingly. Brooks a big, strong welterweight with a real ramrod jab, good timing, footwork. I think Brooks a solid fighter and I feel the Carson Jones fight was a real wake up call he'll of learned a great deal from. Some may think he got a bit exposed but I feel Jones answered a lot of questions about Brook that night. In my opinion he showed a good chin, heart & the ability to dig deep, he showed he can fight inside.

Myself I credit that Devon is a good boxer. But his fights are awful to watch. The clinching in the Maidana fight and his lack of action against Bailey was gutwrenching.

What I want to know is will Kell get credit after he beats Devon, because I believe Devon will lose this?

Brook is a true WW big strong dude solid fighter Alexander should get credit if he wins convincingly I doubt he will though

No he wont. I will give him credit but i think hes a good fighter already.

It seems like no matter who he fights, or who he beats, he always gets a lot of criticism on here. Even though the guy fights tough opponent after tough opponent and he's always competitive against most of them. Devon will never get the credit he deserves on here. He's a guy people love to hate no matter what he does. If Devon beats Brook convincingly I don't see how he can not get credit. But on good ole boxingscene, I'm sure there'll be a few who find a way to concoct some kind of hate for the victory. People were saying the same thing going into the Maidana fight, and tons of them still refuse to give him credit for that win. Hell the same could be said about the Bailey fight, there were a lot of people here who thought he couldn't handle Bailey's power and when he did they just called Bailey old and shot. Good ole' NSB. I imagine after he beats Brook convincingly people will just say Brook was a bum who never fought anyone and again refuse to give Devon his just dues.
