@danrafaelespn: Also, @AdrienBroner said he heard about @GoldenBoyBoxing/@HBOboxing breakup. Said, 'I'm still Mr. HBO and I always will be.'
Looks like Haymon, GBP and Sho' didn't get the memo on resigning Broner. I wonder if he goes independent when his contract expires in a few or if Haymon makes Broner fall in line. Drama to follow for sure.
He said it again, I'm not sure what to make of this:
"Later Monday came the news that HBO, which had been regularly featuring Broner's fights and heavily marketing him, had severed ties with his promoter, Golden Boy, which now does most of its business with rival Showtime.
HBO's move leaves Broner without a television home and probably headed for Showtime, even though he still refers to himself as "Mr. HBO."
"I heard about it," Broner said of HBO's announcement that it would stop buying fights from Golden Boy. "But Adrien Broner is still Mr. HBO. I'm still Mr. HBO, mark my words. I am Mr. HBO and I always will be Mr. HBO."
I wonder if he has the balls to stand up to Al Haymon and dump GBP in a couple of weeks when his contract is up. I certainly hope he does, but I doubt it... Which makes me wonder why the hell does he keep saying this? The suits over at Sho have got to be fuming about his insistence to keep calling himself Mr HBO. Did the suits at HBO know that he'd be averse to going to Sho? This is going to get good.
Dumb looks like he's going over to showtime.
PS: Bossy = Boxy??
No, Bossy = Bossy, BL, Boss Lady or B1tch as I'm affectionately referred to by a few
I guess Broner has fought on HBO many times. But HBO says no more Broner so he is no longer mister HBO unless he leaves Golden Boy. He can't have it both ways. I'm sure he will copy Floyd and stay with Golden Boy and Showtime. They will keep him safe from Matthysse.
Hopefully this stupid HBO/GBP thing won't last very long. It wouldn't be smart for Golden Boy fighters to talk sh*t about HBO, when the day comes that this stupid sh*t is forgotten they might have their comments held against them.
Well HBO is passing on him because they think he's leaving anyway, so they don't wanna spend money on a **** fight like Malignaggi-Broner.
If he wins a welterweight title HBO would love to have him, don't get it twisted.
Some idiots dont understand the idea of not burning bridges, and keeping options open for the future...

Maybe he misheard it as 'We're passing it to Broner.'
Somebody needs to sit him down, brush his hair, and explain it to him again, really really slowly.
LMFAO Quality line, right here, bro. :lol1:
So, what is it about HBO that SHO lacks?
They all say they're at home at HBO. Even Martinez wants nothing but HBO offers.
So now Broner would be forced to flip flop and say SHO is the best. Just like Floyd.
HBO named Broner as one of Golden Boy's fighters they were not interested in anymore. No doubt because he is with Golden Boy. How the hell does Broner think he is Mr. HBO. Of the many stupid things he has said that is one of the stupidest. Lots of fighters have fought on HBO more times than Broner. Broner is his own biggest fan but if he wants to fight on HBO he will have to leave Golden Boy and he won't do that. The promoter feud has spread to HBO and Showtime.
Maybe he misheard it as 'We're passing it to Broner.'
