Should Bradley and Provodnikov Have an Immediate Rematch?

Bradley is a proud man. I don't think he'd shy away from a rematch at all. To even suggest he would is blasphemy.

If the money is right. Both guys were pretty banged up and I'd hate to see them beat each others brains out again for peanuts in an empty stadium. Yup, just give them some additional months to recover and make sure the money is right for both. They earned it.

Bradley complained bitterly that Pacquiao did not rematch him after his disputed win over Pacquiao. Lots of fans including myself think Bradley lost this fight as well as the Pacquiao fight. He has a chance to practice what he preaches and give the Russian the rematch he deserves. However if Bradley is offered a big money fight with Marquez or Pacquiao I would not blame him for taking that fight. Business is business. I think a rematch with the Russian would sell just as well as a fight with the winner of Rios-Alvarado.

If Provodnikov gets a win against another high level fighter it makes the fight much more valuable from Arum's perspective, Bradley's too. Ruslan getting established as a top welterweight in his own right makes the rematch a lot more significant than if he's just a guy who gives Bradley fits.

Who would oppose a rematch other than Bradley? He's the one who got nearly punked. Arum is the King of rematches, trilogies, quadrologies so he doesn't have to put too much promotional effort. He's old and he's become lazy. Fans won't object to a rematch. It's all up to Bradley and his wife.

Bradley's people are staying away from Ruslan.

The rematch won't live up the hype, Bradley will box circles around Ruslan. Think SRL vs Duran 2...SRL tried to bang the first time and got in trouble and loss...Bradley has a similar mentality that SRL had. 2nd time is gonna be a snooze fest. Bradley was successful in the mid rounds Boxing, but he kept getting pressured and Bradley himself is always willing to trade even if he's at a disadvantage. I've never seen him as a pure boxer more than a busy fighter. I don't think he can outbox Provodnikov consistently for 12 rounds.

I wouldnt mind a rematch I just dont think it needs to be immediate, its looking like marquez has his eyes set on bradleys strap anyway

Fights like that can end careers,But yes id love to see a rematch,Bradley would not fight like that again if he is smart.When he boxed he won easily,but when he brawled it was all bad for him but all good for the fans When Bradley boxed he was clearly more successful. But I think he tried to brawl with him again because it didn't seem that Provodnikov was getting discouraged one bit and that might've played into Bradley maybe trying to stop him (maybe on cuts). But I do think a little something left both fighters that night.
