If your picking bradley then I'd understand that, except the Chris John fight was 10 years ago. If bradley fights the way he fought provodnikov then he'd get his head cut off. If he fights on the outside then he may last 12 rounds but nothing he does would be of great effectiveness, because like what I've said he's not cagey like floyd/broner/raheem. He doesn't have the power of floyd or pac or even katsidis for that matter. Look at his potshots against pacquiao, did it look very effective to you? No. most of them were only landing on the gloves and pacquiao for whatever reasons always had a hard time cutting the ring off since he's so hungry on just chasing and chasing. styles make fights but not all styles that would make JMM force the action would be a problem to him and a sure win against him. Bradley's stance is different. bradley would be tough because of his movement but other than that i don't see him being effective on the offensive side.
Bradley obviously was effective against Pac bro..He got the victory..You say only movement would give Marquez a problem..What about Bradley's work rate and strength??Bradley is a better defensive fighter then giving credit for..I know your a prisoner of the moment..So you'll continue to go back to the Prov fight..Hey,your right,if Bradley fights that fight against Marquez,he's cooked..
But I doubt will see that style(even if he fights Prov again)will see a high work rate and Bradley attempt to control the pace of the action..I would not expect a war,but more of a battle of the minds in this fight..Which with Bradley's athletics I'd favor him in..BTW who did Marquez have to cut the ring off against who was not slow of foot that he beat??Bradley style seems all wrong for Marquez imo..But hey I've been wrong before..
Bradley poses more of a threat then Chris John,we seen how well Marquez was at cutting the ring off against him..

I'll be rooting for marquez on this one, but yes bradley would be a tough style for marquez but not an ala floyd version. Bradley would only be tough because of his good movement if he chose to box like he did against pacquiao. But he's not as cagey and doesn't have enough range to do something like hit and not get hit thru potshots. He's not as slick either. He wouldn't have the power advantage either which floyd and pac had, so marquez would be brave enough to take even more risk and chace him. Marquez footwork effectiveness and ring generalship (marquez is better in cutting off than pacquiao) would eventually catch bradley and time him with that right straight or dig that left uppercut to the body. If they have the same power, style per style it would be bradley's game but since not, bradley poses little threat at all even if he pushes it hard.

there is no way bradley wins marquez is too precise a puncher and when bradley starts throwing his awful combinations like a 5 year old girl marquez will load up 1 big shot then the fight is over the only reason provodnikov did not ko bradley is because he has got the worst stamina in boxing and took about 3 rounds off without throwing a meaningfull punch.
I agree. Bradley is athletic, but that would not be enough against Marquez. Juan would counter him coming in. And from what i viewed Bradley isnt that hard to hit these days.
It all depends on how Bradley Fights, if he Box he wins, if he tries to come forward recklessly then he walks into a counter he doesn't see coming and probably get stopped
Leaning towards JMM but I wouldn't be shock if Bradley wins, I do want to see how Timmy has been affected by his last fight though.
At this point I feel exactly the same way.
it is pretty surprising, has Bradley ever knocked down anyone at 147 let alone KO?
knocked down... no... he's only had 3 fights. Closest he came was badly hurting Abregu a few times and making him wobble... no KD's though.
pacquiao beat bradley and provodnikov BEAT UP bradley..so what do you think a skilled counter puncher now with HUGE punching power will do to a guy like bradley? marquez will tee off on bradley's big bald head...
I used to think Bradley would win this match up however, after more thought, I'm leaning towards Marquez. One thing I overlooked about him when making my earlier assessment is his ability to find openings to work his opponents body. Bradley relies on his conditioning to collect rounds in the later half of a fight, something Marquez can take away from him.
Be a good scrap.
