I honestly couldn't stand his commentary. I don't know if it was just because I was rooting heavily for Ruslan, but he seemed to be ridiculously pro-Bradley, even when the action in front of our eyes was telling a different story.
Kellerman should get a salary bonus for the number of times he had to correct Roy's blatantly misguided analysis tonight. Really made it hard to enjoy a great competitive fight.
And of course Roy ends the broadcast with "Provo....whatever his name his". How professional.
Roy called what he saw. If you notice they called damn near every P-Kov shot, but didnt mention the Bradley shot(s) that followed. It seemed to me he was mearly trying to override they **** ridin of every P-Kov shot, and keep viewers informed that Bradley was indeed in the ring.
Roy had to keep a look out just like Stewart had to keep a look out many times for Floyd. Its obvious there's a lot of favoritism going on with those commentators, and guys like Roy and Steward provide some balance. Good for HBO for noticing that and doing something about it. LOL @ Jim Lampley and his BANG BANG BANG!!!!
I wondered what fight he was watching at times. One of the worst commentaries I've seen in a long time, completely biased and unproffesional. Not a good night for Roy, and I'm a fan of his.
m310 has it right. they are always pro hbo just like any comentators in sports. it is customary=good customer service to back the house fighter. it's their job.

LOL he always says stuff like that, can't pronounce foreign names.
Roy Jones Jr. is an HBO commentator and with HBO commentators they have a history of being biased.
Roy has shown this same biased when Pacquiao was fighting Marquez, he kept saying nope Pac ain't going to get hit with that again than bam Pac got knocked out cold and he was like Ahhhhhhhhh.
Also he is extremely biased towards Nontio Donaire.
Yeah, that was hilarious :lol1:

He's done this quite a bit actually, he'll pick a fighter he likes and it's almost like he's only watching that fighter and what he's doing. I think he should balance his act.
He was horrific. And I usually like RJJ. But damn, dude. He was all over TB's ball sack. It was like listening to my 13 year old niece talk about Justin Bieber.
I wanted to f**king hurl
Maybe its a little Roy hate getting in the way of your judgement. I dont think anyone will agree that Roy sucks as a commentator! Hes acutally real good at it.
Of course IMO! All three are my favorite though! I like Roy on there though! Hope he stays!
I agree that he sucks as a commentator. Unless constantly chuckling at Kellerman's remarks is considered insightful.
i love it when roy does commentary.
His speaking style sounds like he's busting a flow.
Really enjoyable when watching a great fight and burning lettuce.
