By Chris Williams: Golden Boy Promotions Boss Richard Schaefer is confirming that you will find only one,376 tickets left from the 16,000 tickets for that May fourth fight between WBC interim welterweight champion Robert The Ghost Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KOs) and unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Junior. (43-, 26 KOs) in the MGM Grand in Vegas, Nevada, based on Serta Rafael. Thats pretty since the battle continues to be two several weeks away. It teaches you the type of star energy the 36-year-old Floyd continues to have. He might not fight everything frequently, but boxing fans continue to be prepared to capture his tickets like hotcakes.
I dont recall the latter Manny Pacquiao fights selling out this rapidly. He does not appear to achieve the same Midas touch that Mayweather Junior. has nowadays, however I suppose that may be a primary reason why hes searching to battle outdoors from the U.S for his next fight. Mayweather includes a six-fight contract with Showtime/CBS he must get rid of over the following 30 several weeks. What this means is were most likely likely to see similar martial artists to Guerrero in Mayweathers approaching fights of his six-fight contract unless of course he is able to lure Pacquiao into accepting a battle for any nice friendly purse split of say 60-40. I believe Mayweather would absolutely accept fight Pacquiao within the six fights as lengthy as Pacquiao would like to simply accept the more compact purse.
Its certainly a possible fight, but Pacquiao needs to realize that hes lost his latter fights and hes not setting up exactly the same ppv amounts that Mayweather is. Pacquiao cant be requesting a 50-50 cope with him losing right and left. Guerrero helps it to be interesting as lengthy because this fight lasts together with his face-first type of fighting. Hes going to try and walk-through exactly what Mayweather throws and finish up getting illuminated within this fight.

I'm sorry, but for $400 I need to be in someone's corner holding a belt.
LOL, to each his own.
I personally don't go to Vegas unless I have a knot to blow that can choke a horse.
I bought tickets and not a lot of them go on sale to the public. If you figure 25% of 15,000 go to the public, so probably only 3,750 tickets get released in total on Ticketmaster.
So this really isn't anything special.
Those tickets must've sold super quick, I just can't see myself buying $200-400 nose bleed seats per person.
Scalpers bought a lot thinking they will make money! They'll sell it cheap before the fight. But still i'm not buying! This is a cherry pick fight! I'm not stupid! You cant fool me GBP!
im sure that was a fun fight to go to

Oh it was a great fight, great atmosphere with Latino people going crazy about boxing/Margarito, I got the ticket by luck. Was on holiday with my brother who lives in Arizona Scottdale, I was fvcking bored to death and went online and found those tickets for $50 by chance, nowadays you can't get a boxing ticket without going through some stupid ticket hub sites.
Well $400 is actually pretty cheap for a night of entertainment in Vegas, the only problem is there is a lot of night left after that fight ends and no one goes to bed after a fight~
I'm sorry, but for $400 I need to be in someone's corner holding a belt.
Remember how I was able to go to the Margarito-Williams fight in 2007 and brought ticket so easily for $50 for myself and other one for my brother.
im sure that was a fun fight to go to

may 4th weekend card filled with mexicans, yet floyd gets all the credit right?
Lol yea lets give the Mexican fighters all the credit selling out the arena. What about all those other times when Floyd only had 1 or 2 mexs on the card?
may 4th weekend card filled with mexicans, yet floyd gets all the credit right?

I'm good, nose bleeds start at $400, Jesus Christ!!!!!

I remember awhile back they had stories about this on shows like 60min & real sports. They were saying even that Congress is getting involved. Now since then I havent heard anything. Do people care? Thats why I say it'll sadly probably take an athlete one day to stand up and change something
As long as somebody is buying the tickets that`s fine cause the money from the ticket sales is still gonna go into Floyd`s and Goldenboys pockets regardless for what reason people bought the tickets.
you have floyds dick so far up your ass you forget that at the end of the day you are a fan just like all of us... this aint "fine", you aint floyd..you aint on his payroll
As long as somebody is buying the tickets that`s fine cause the money from the ticket sales is still gonna go into Floyd`s and Goldenboys pockets regardless for what reason people bought the tickets.
You think 1300 tickets left is a bad sign even though the fight sold over 14,700 tickets. And Floyd/Goldenboy did not even start the major promotion yet and the tickets just recently went on sale. Are you serious or are you trolling?
And how does this benefit you or boxing fans in general? Does Floyd or GBP break you off a cut?
The point of my post was that just because 15,700 tickets were sold doesnt mean that 15,700 fans bought them. Only about 10% of the tickets are available to the public. The rest go to the promoters and ticket brokers.
its not even about true fans. Its about the common man and my main point is that they would still get paid. There are alot of blue collar people who would buy those $200 ticktes easily. He would still sellout. However, they are not going to go to stubhub and buy those same tix for triple the price so you will end up getting all rich casual fans.
It sucks. A hard working dude cant take his kids to sporting events anymore because of this. If you wanna talk about getting paid then let them sell the richer seats to the brokers but atleast leave the $200 & $300 seats for regular sell
It's tax season. I wouldn't bet that everyone who is going is rich or a casual fan.
For big sporting events, concerts, etc, ticket brokers buy up 90% of the tickets before they even go on sale. Its been this way for YEARS. They buy them at face value then resell them on sites like stubhub for a markup. If theres still over 1300 tickets unsold for a Mayweather event, that's not a good sign.
