I think he is. add him to the list: trinidad, pavlik, pascal, even dawson to a degree. I really dont think cloud will ever be the same fighter. Hopkins was right when he said he takes his opponents souls. what do you guys say?
How was Pascal ruined? or even Dawson both had previous loses same as Cloud despite the dubious dec. against Campillo he showed where his boxing level was
Cloud needs to set before throwing his punch. Every time Cloud would get ready to throw a punch, all Hopkins had to do is move a bit to the left or to the right ..... Cloud would then reset.
Considering he was never any good, i'd say not
If someone ruined him, it was Don King
Agree...
Cloud had to be something before he got broken. He struggled against Yusuf Mack. He clearly lost his last fight against Campillo. Got utterly embarrassed against a guy that Sergey Kovalev destroyed in 3 rounds.
Last night he looked brutal against Hopkins.
He was never that good to begin with.
He was shiet before the fight, and he'll be shiet after the fight. If he comes back in the same shape he'll be the same.
Can't believe I got such a nice odds on Hopkins and that Cloud was actually a pretty big favourite at the bookies.
Without doubt getting beat by a guy 18years older than you when Tarvois Cloud would probably think he was in his prime at the time of that fight...
That loss wont ever leave him in his mind!
In the words of Hopkins "he destroys young champions and we never see them again."this is is a bad, bad, embarassing loss for cloud for his mind and not to mention reputation. dont know what he will do going forward. leaving Don King and a dominant win over a pascal or dawson is a good start.
if cloud stays with king, we might not see him for awhile. but agree thats the first thing he should do, ditch king. i wouldnt mind seeing him and dawson. it would be a good way to see where both guys are at now. dawson is so inconsistent mentally, and who knows if hes still the same fighter physically after the ward fight. good crossroads fight
i dont know if hopkins ruined him. but after getting that gift against campillo, and then campillo getting stopped in 2 rounds...i'm sure this loss doesnt do anything for his confidence.

Cloud was only a "C" fighter at best going into the fight. Coming out of the fight, I would guess that he is still a "C" fighter. I wouldn't say that he was ruined. Now if he was an "A" fighter going into the fight and came out of the fight as a "C" fighter, then I would say he was ruined.

Well the only way I thought Cloud had a chance was if Hopkins was even worse than he was against Dawson, and he wasn't.
Yes it's a nice win for Hopkins, highlighted mainly due to him being 48 years old and still be able to win fights. But let's not act like Cloud was some killer to ever begin with. He was losing to Yusaf Mack before he finally landed something, and clearly lost to Campillo.
