Do anyone here feel Hopkins could go up and fight for a belt at cruiserweight?
Could he even beat the lineal champ?
I'm not overly impressed with Hernandez so i wouldn't completely rule it out.
How about you?
How about Wlodarczyk? Huck? Lebedev?
There isn't a lineal champ at Cruiserweight, Hernandez just has the RING belt as Huck challenged Povetkin, a technicality really.
And no, Cruiserweights are much bigger than Light heavies... Hernandez can actually move and hits pretty hard
It would be difficult enough for a 30 year old Bernard to climb in weight and challenge a guy like Pablo. The 48 year old version of Hopkins would get waxed.
I don't think it's a very good idea. Hernandez is tall and rangy. I think he would win on sheer physical advantage alone. His reach is long enough to stay on the outside in safety and just tag Hopkins from the outside who wouldn't really be able to move him the way he wanted to or limit his punch output.
Also, he's so much bigger than I doubt Hopkins would be able to tie him up as effectively in clinches if Hernandez does move him onto the ropes.
I agree though, Hernandez isn't all that.
