yea Rigo talked it and walked it...dude MARCHED over Donaire with a sick display of boxing skills...he deserves all the praise today!
Like I said before, take away the left hook and what's there for Donaire? I always said easier said than done and it was up to Rigo to execute and he sure did, beautifully.

Montiel being P4P is a myth.
Had to get saved from his tuneup bout. Then Ko's Hasegawa and turns P4P. Clearly a hype fight. Real test would have been to enter the bantam tourney instead of chase Narvaez.
1 down, only nonito to go then the board is cleared of the plague.
WAR RIGO!!
hasegawa was ranked #1 at 118lbs and montiel stopped him. so donaire shouldn't have fought the guy who beat the best ranked fighter in the division? and donaire wanted to fight the winner of mares vs agbeko but they signed for an immediate rematch..then donaire tried to get a fight with moreno, but moreno priced himself out. plus donaire tried to leave top rank and was almost shelved for the rest of the year as a result but ended up getting a last minute fight with the #1 guy at 115lbs after everything was resolved.
also filipinos still have brian viloria (who should be p4p #10) and donnie nietes...
Why dudes hating on Nonito for being so tall but when Caballero was ishing on Juanma and Gamboa, nobody would have gave a fudge had he beaten them. And he's 5'11 fighting 126.
It comes with the territory :boxing:

That doesn't make any sense. What point is there in pretending his two best wins don't exist? Both Darch and Montiel were considered p4p at time, and there's very few fighters who can even claim they have more than one p4p win.
And enough with the Donaire fighting smaller fighters crap. Donaire is usually the smaller man, including against Montiel.

Donaire has to be top 10 but that is just my own opinion.
Yeah..Donaire is definitely top 10 P4P. .
I think we can almost all agree Donaire's up there. There will always be some that ignore all reality. Hell, there's an active thread where some people voted for Mayweather as a greater P4P fighter than Duran. What can you say?
Are you defensing this case? Guess Donaire wont get credit for Rigo either that midget cherry picker :nonono: None of this matters, talk about grasping at straws
I never heard this dumb criticism with 5'8 morales.
You've either ignored my other posts or your reading comprehension leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not defending anything. I merely mentioned what I thought Original might have meant with his post.
You'd sound a lot smarter if you put your prejudices aside.
In Darchinyan's case, perhaps. Vic is listed at the same height as Donaire, but perhaps appears shorter because he crouches more than Nonito. Montiel is listed at 5' 4". That's even shorter than Rigo, whom everyone seems to think Donaire towers over.

I dont understand either but it doesnt matter people will still say that donaire is fighter smaller guys when the statistics are right there in those pics
I was personally unaware of those figures. I get most of my stats from Boxrec. Mathebula is, of course, no surprise, but the other two fighters cited are somewhat surprising to me. I'd be curious to know how small Narvaez really is in comparison to Donaire. I would be shocked if we had figures that didn't confirm he is significantly smaller than Nonito. In any case, it's all simply of interest to me. I'm not concerned with putting Donaire down. I think he's an excellent fighter.

if he's not top 5, then he's top 10
what's the difference? many guys have similar resumes and similar levels of ability.
BUT if anyone who says Donaire is not top 10, then he's just a hater :bottle:
Thats an even dumber argument.
