No! Unlike some of these other fighters who are looking for the cheapest way to the Top...Trout seems to be willing to EARN HIS SPOT and not have his Promoter just HAND HIM his Top Spot So it doesn't matter if some fans don't give his "Due"...I think Trout will TAKE IT with the Canelo Fight

Should he? Yes. Will he? I'm not sure. Pretty much every single person on here outside of like 2 people said Cotto would beat Trout with little bother and look now, that's discredited by most. A constant routine on here.

Trout beat Cotto by about the same amount of points that Mayweather did and he did it in Cotto territory. Will Canelo will get credit from his critics if he beats Trout convincingly? Many on Boxing Scene are picking Trout to beat Canelo. I cannot speak for everyone, but I can tell you that if canelo beats Trout (convincingly), I will absolutely give him credit.

if he beats Canelo? A lot of people seem to discredit the Cotto win, saying Cotto is finished etc. If Trout beats Canelo, I see the same people saying Canelo wasn't any good to begin with, and again Trout shouldn't get much credit for it. The majority of people act like he's the 2nd coming. If the few of us that believe in Trout turn out to be correct, why would that detour his props?? It shouldnt. Ill be there and I will be rooting for Trout. I like them both so I wouldnt mind if Canelo wins. I think Canelo is probably the better fighter. I think what might due him in is the fact that he will go from fighting a bunch of 140 pounders to a true JMW. I think if he had been fighting all big guys then I would favor him and I still might anyways. However, Im partial at times to pure boxers because I think most fans hate them. If you arent a brawler then you suck and I disagree with that. Nothing is more exciting to me then a high speed chess match. Ive always liked Trout's skill. In terms of the future, its 50/50. Id rather Canelo win because him vs Floyd would be huge. However, Id rather Trout when because I would love to see Floyd fight a big pure boxing Southpaw. I think Trout would be so dangerous that if Floyd were to beat him convincgly then it would prove that he would have a legit chance against Sergio. It would be the perfect tuneup. My point though is that I think people do be trying to have it both ways. They say one guy is garbage or hasnt beat anyone yet if there guy beats him then not only does it prove they were right that the opponent was overrated but somehow is still also validates how great there own guy is and I mean this both ways and not just for this fight

Is Canelo gonna get his just dues? I can already see the haters(like Bushbaby) finding excuses. Canelo gets his for finally facing a legit opponent and Trout gets his for notching up another title. Unless the fight ends bad, either will get theirs if they win

How Canelo is ranked over the likes of Molina and Trout is beyond me

People will sh*t all over him but at least he will get a large pay check. Unfortunately. He's the kind of guy that will probably remain underappreciated because of his style. He just needs to keep on winning.
