#1 pound for pound chin in boxing he took that crown after Margarito was ko'd.
Once Chavez jr dedicates himself 100% to boxing he will be pretty much unstoppable/ unbeatable/ unknockoutable :D
At 160 he beats all the good competition including GGG and kid chocolate, no doubt. At super middle a show down against froch would be great.
It irritated me in the faceoff when he said "this here is the best chin" and made a creepy ass face, but he does have a great chin
Jr gets so much hate but do realize that when you speak about Chavez jr., you are speaking of the best chin in boxing.

Martinez has good powers of recovery from being hurt. I think he would come out for round 13 and remembering what happened in round 12 he would box very carefully, concentrating on finishing the fight on his feet. I think he would lose round 13 but still win the fight by wide ud.
Does Martinez even lose the round if he plays it safe? Even with his knee gone he's still got better footwork than Julio. If he doesn't make himself a target Chavez Jr is just stumbling around after him, getting caught flush in the face every time he tries to turn.

Robert Garcia seems to think he'd be able to coach Jr to beat Martinez in a rematch. LOL. He was even given a boxing lesson by Zbik.. The only way Jr catches him again is in a telephone box.

Someone needs to do a proper version of that with the 24/7 clips, like when he's walking around the house eating cereal in his pink underpants.
Best attempt at it I found:
Martinez would have been fine. He had recovered, and that extra minute would have been plenty of time. Keep in mind that Martinez probably would have fought the 12th differently. He wanted to close the show in a big way, and got caught in the process.
Lmao Martinez probably could have stopped chavez. In the last round Chavez looked like he was passing out having an asthma attack and Martinez ate all his biggest shots after getting up and fighting back.

It would have just been the same last round that we had , they pace themselves knowing whats ahead , dont matter if it was a 15 rounder Sergio would control the fight and Chaves would have made a last round run just like he did , why didnt Chavez make that run and go all out in the 9 , because it wasnt the last round !
What if Chavez jr had not smoked weed to hide the diuretics he took to make weight and actually made weight the proper way?
Like Roy said "He looks like a solid CW in there". It's obvious Chavez Jr. can't make 160 without using diuretics.
Chavez only had a good 45 seconds in that 12th round. If you remember correctly, Martinez ended the 12th on his feet and landing combinations on Chavez.
Chavez couldnt stop a torn ligament/broken hand Martinez in the 12th Round as the bigger, younger man...he was also the worse for wear despite the youth (due to his beating lol).
Chavez landed hi best shots on a hurt sergio with a busted up knee and Serg didnt blink... He hurt Chavez at the end... I'm not sure Roach would let Chavez come out for the 13th.
Martinez was heroic in the last minute of that 12th round. With his knee gone and with a clear victory on the cards he fought it out with Chavez Jr, no holding, just let his hands go and stopped Jr's surge in its tracks. At least Jr got a close look at what a real champion looks like.
