Would those fights have been more popular or accepted by the boxing public? Is it that in general these fighters "style" are made for Floyd?
What would you have thought about those fights?
Why is Bradley so highly rated at 147? A big WW like Ortiz with the power he brings would be a very difficult fight for little Timmy.
How is that when Timmy was a 140 champ holding two titles outboxing the opponents that gave Ortiz trouble. Bradley would easily outbox Ortiz. Technically a better fight for Bradley than Pacquiao.
Pacquiao vs Ortiz: You hit me a couple times, ill hit you hard once.
Bradley vs Ortiz: boxer vs brawler style
For where Manny was, they would have been crap. Whats wrong with fighters earning their shot these days? I think it might have something to do with Andre 'the hungry young liontiger punchbag' Berto.:dunno:
I would say their styles are for Pacquiao more than Marquez because a counter defensive fighter will always give Pacquiao problems. Infact they would be dangerous fights, Ortiz though Mentally unstable but still has hands, while Guerrero is going to give Pacquiao problems with technique.
before piss drinker smoked Pac? of course they would
same with Floyd, can't knock those fights
but that's all they would be, legit, nothing more, nothing less
those two's claim at WW is beating Andre Berto
Ofcourse. I remember the poster DE100 exposing several posters who were flip flopping. Ortiz vs. Mayweather is a cherrypick and Ortiz vs. Pac is A FOTY candidate same with Pac vs Rg.
agree to a point..but who at ww would you rank over him and why?
yea,but we talking bout Ring ww rankings
Only Bradley and Alexander..Alexander beat a Champion and also dominated Maidana..Bradley dominated Abregu and has a W over Pac..I would also have to rank Marquez over both fighters I've just named as well..If Marquez was going to continue to fight at WW..But Guerrero being ranked over these guy's is just not right..But I would put him over Paulie(not active enough to keep his spot)and Brook(not one notable win on his resume)..
While your right,Guerrero is not deserving of his spot at the current moment..Aydin I believe was not ranked, neither was Berto..If I'm not mistaken..I don't believe that should get you ranked num 3,come on now..
Both Bradley and Alexander should be ranked ahead of Guerrero, but hell I can't be mad..Floyd is always going to have his way when it comes to the sport of boxing..

i thought Aydin was number 1 ranked by WBC.

Guerrero is #3 at 147
Ortiz was #2
they would be the highest ranked ww's Manny has fought since Cotto

Bradley was Manny's first good opponent since Clottey and his best fight going into it since Marquez.
I give Manny as much credit for that as I do Floyd for Hatton, since both were similar situations. Both had fought at 147 before, were Top 10 P4P and undefeated. I was hyped for both.
to each his own i guess coz altho the title pac fought for a paper title at 150 , margo was a good opponent to me , atleast if you count ortiz or guerrero as a good opponent for floyd....
i can agree with the rest minus the obvious.
it would've been as legit as when flough fought /fights them...some would complain and some would be ok with it...just like now
but bradley >>>>>>>ortiz and guerrero combined

If they would let Guerrero get away with what he was pulling against Berto he would absolutely manhandle Pac...Filipinos would be outside his house with torches and pitchforks
LMFAO..:beerchug:

Pacquiao beats them both. I'd see them as slightly more legit then when Floyd did, because Pacquiao isn't as good as Floyd is.
I would imagine that Ortiz vs Marquez would have had some drama because Marquez does get hit, and Ortiz likes to throw bombs. But after (maybe) a knockdown for Ortiz, that fight would end quickly once Marquez times him.
pac being so shorter than the ghost i see pac hitting ghost with punches he def wont see if he try's to fight him on the inside.
plus no ref gonna let that happen to pac,pac has no inside game but i don't see him getting manhandled by the ghost like berto.
so the reason pac would'nt get caught fighting on the inside is becuase of the ref not allowing it and not becuase he would be fast enough to not stay on the inside... hell , if that was true , margo would've beat manny then since he's the better inside fighter, more powerful and bigger than ghost...
