When he started mixing to the body after landing all those right hands is what made Ortiz fold. And he has ended at least 5 other contests by... You guessed it, body shot! If Maidana is focused sharp and fit as he appears to be, then Lopez is in for Hell of a night. Whether the night is concluded by a head or body shot, it will be a concussive punch of Maidana's that will end matters.

Maidana late tko. Lopez is tough as hell but does not have the skills to outbox chino. He is not beating maidana in a shootout.

Both Canelo and Maidana are big punchers but I think Canelo hits harder because he is a full 154 pounder while Maidana was fighting at 140 not long ago. Of course, I was referring to the former, not the latter. Seems odd, i dont see him having success at 147. lopez? his biggest win was at WW against ortiz. i think him and his trainer have hinted at problems making 140 in recent interviews. plus, i wouldn't suggest it after having his last fight at 154. maidana is also not a big WW.

Does anybody know what weight this is taking place at? 140 or 147? 147, i don't think maidana is going back to 140. man, june seems so far away. the alvarez card would have been great to have it on. it should be a foty candidate. i'm leaning towards maidana on this one. if malignaggi still holds the belt when this fight is done, hopefully gbp can do malignaggi/maidana (since both men wanted it).

Canelo went through Lopez like a hot knife through butter and KOed him with ease. I expect Maidana to get the same result but I think Lopez will put up a better fight against Maidana than he did against Canelo. Who ever is in charge of Lopez's career is sure matching him tough. I think he had a chance to do well at 140 but fighting big punchers like Canelo and Maidana back to back could hurt him. I would be surprised if Lopez wins this fight or even goes the distance.

Josesito is quick and has a good reach but i think Chino has what it takes to break that face into peaces.

I gotta give it to Lopez! this kid is always willing to face top notch competition. I think Lopez brings his best, but fades in the later rounds. Maidana's an animal.
