It was a close ugly fight that didn't even have chance to develop, I don't think much can be drawn from it. The fight after Guerrero had a cut and fought through it, also his eye was closed against Berto and he still kept coming. So it is not like this started a trend for him.

Actually a smart move by him! Fans can't understand that blood dripping into your eye (rather his eye) effects your (his) vision. So fighting with one eye is not a fair fight. Ofcourse fans don't fight "anyone" unless its another fan whose as drunk as the first jerk! The reality is that the cut didn't have a chance to spread, the damage to eyes blood vessels and the future scar tissue damage was avoided. A badly cut over the eye could keep a fighter out of work for up to a year if its not healing correctly. Then it can be a problematic situation for the rest of his career too! Theres also a panic time when seeing and tasting your own blood for fighters as well as "ordinary people" or people known as "fans" also!! Ofcourse most of them would be crying and half would faint but the reality is that theres an adjustment when a fighter gets cut! Yoiu can't train for it and it is disturbing because its "not a movie" its your face or head thats opened up and its your warm/salty blood in your mug!!!!! hahahaha!!! It was 2009. Kev, Guerrero was not up 2-0. He lost the first two rounds due to repeatedly eating right hands and not landing much himself. For the record, I am NOT saying this means Guerrero isn't a good opponent for Floyd. I expect Guerrero to give Floyd a tough fight and I will give Floyd credit for the win.

I was willing to agree with you if he really did quit, but he was winning 2-0 and it was a rough fight just like Guerrero likes it. The blood was probably going in to his eye. We do not know that, we are in our couch watching these fights. Guys like Guerrero, Alexander, Judah, and other fighters who "quit" because of cuts above their eyes take too much crap from dumb fans. Same thing with Ortiz and his broken jaw in two places, calling him a quitter. In recent years, if any one quit, it was Miguel Cotto against Antonio Margarito, Ortiz against Maidana, and Calderon against Segura. You have to bend reality just for ur love for Floyd?

Round 1 clearly belonged to Yordan. In the second, Yordan continued to find Guerrero and seemed to have much faster hands. An accidental butt opened up a cut on Guerrero in the 2nd round, and he complained and time was called to have it looked at. Guerrero says he can't see and the fight is called off. ND. No telling how the fight would have gone, although Yordan was clearly a quality fighter. IMO it looks like a pretty obvious quit on Guerrero's part. It was a bad cut, but it seems like he could have at least finished the first four rounds. Can you really hold that against him after his recent outings tho?
