Haye would take the Wlad rematch right now if he thought he could wrangle another multi-million pound payday out of it.
The only reason he's going after Vitali is because he was dominated against Wlad and has no grounds for a rematch.
I do see him as the British version of Mayweather in terms of how he manages his career.
Clever? maybe financially, but I don't feel the respect he has within our country will be as enduring as a Benn, Eubank, Froch or even Bruno.
I totally agree with everything you say. although, adding Froch is a bit hasty.
I just want to add. If you were an up and coming prospect who would you want to model yourself on ? I don't know the numbers, but, i would guess, Haye has made more £££ than all the top British fighters in the last 3 years.
Yeah he doesn't care about the sport or the fans, just David Haye and David Haye's bank account and talking about how great he thinks he is.
If Vitali and Wladimir don't fight him again I think it's fitting that he'll remembered for his classless little toe excuse following the biggest fight of his career when Wlad showed him he wasn't as great as his ego professed.
I prefer the champions who take risks and fight for the respect as much as for the money. Talk on David.
David doesn't come across as the type of flashy guy that cares about money only. If you meet the guy, he's totally down to earth. You wouldn't know he was a millionaire just from his personality. His media persona is so much different from him as a person. Nor was he dominated by Wlad. The scores might have been wide, but most rounds like 2-3 jabs between them, that isn't domination. It was just a boring match, and Wlad played his cards right to avoid the one big punch. The excuse was pretty pathetic for a Heavyweight champ, though he has backtracked and said it wasn't an excuse for me losing, it was more for me falling down a lot.
I hope he fights again, he's arguably the most exciting and popular boxer in Britain atm. The Haye/Chisora fight sold out almost instantly. The annoying rain didn't put anyone off either. If there's a big fight out there that people want to see, Haye/Vitali is one of them. The guy nearly always delivers the goods.
I'm not sure why you think he didn't take risks. He fought a guy almost 1 foot taller than him, outweighed him by god knows what. Had a couple of fights inbetween (the Audley fight was down to domestic pressure, it was a big easy pay fight that people wanted, you can't criticise him for that) whilst negotiating with both Wlad and Vitali. Then fought Wlad, despite being only just heavier than a Cruiserweight, giving Wlad an awkward night.
He doesn't care, i'm 100% serious he doesn't give a **** what the man on the street thinks about him, that's from the horses mouth.

"Prospects" LOL you just admitted yourself they are fighting unproven fighters, you dumb ****. Haye never quit like Vitali, almost everything you try to diss fighters with the Klitschko's have done worse.
lol you're such a dumbass... 'Haye never quit like Vitali'... can you hear the violins playing your song?

Wrong.
Haye is obsessed with drawing attention to himself. He's been trying non stop for the last 5 years to become the center of attraction in the boxing media. He's a complete media whore.
Genuine boxing fans want to see fighters go out on their shield instead of blaming a hurt pinky toe for their defeat.
You call lining up all the undefeated prospects and annihilating them scraping the bottom of the barrel? Tosser.

He won't.. but mark my words...
After the first sign of Wladimir slowing down he will come out loud as always demanding the rematch.

Haye is pretty clever, he sells his brand the same way Mayweather does.
Haye fights once a year, (at most)
Haye builds up his fights over a long time, (maximise revenue)
Haye markets himself on reality shows.

Genuine boxing fans want to see the most competitive fights not ****ing mismatches. Only nuthuggers think that's acceptable, in a weak division the Klitschko's still go scraping the bottom of the barrel for their voluntaries.

Good post, I agree

He's pretty much done at this point. He keeps saying he wants only Vitali, has no interest in an Adamek fight or Povetkin fight which are both big money for him.
He'll fight again.
If he doesn't get Vitali, he'll beat a contender. If TV deals can be arranged he would make easy work of Fury. Whether that leads to another Klitschko fight remains to be seen, but Haye will be back in the ring at least once.
I would like to see him fight more. That way he would show just how good he is. And then people would start to give credit both to haye and the man who beat him.
Well he recently re-applied for his british boxing licence and it was granted so you would assume he would fight again, but i think only Vitali and if not Vitali he may just retire.
No.
Boxing/Vitali fans wanna see his farewell fight with or without haye.
You just want to see if there is a slightest chance for david to win and for you to make countless gifs... Sorry, not happening... :booty:

He already said he would fight Wlad again if he was given the chance, but he acknowledges that's unlikely to happen that's why he wants Vitali. So what are you talking about fool.
