If canelo beat Trout, what is next???

If Canelo did beat Trout, you would have to ask who else would be a legit opponent for Floyd at that point? There aren't many.

If he does beat Trout (which is a hard task considering it's his firs legit 154 challenge) then mayweather should be next, but I don't think Floyd will want any part of him.

If Canelo beats Trout, the options are wide open for him. He can fight who ever he wants, and make great money doing so. Of course he wants Mayweather but that is yet to be determined.

Haters ain't a problem. Trout is bigger and faster and everyone was saying Canelo would avoid him. Well, unless you can't read, Canelo specifically asked for Trout. GBP wanted to match him up with Cotto, Canelo refused and said Trout. So, Canelo is fighting a big 154 pounder. Let the excuses continue, haters always find them. Canelo v Ortiz and Canelo vs Willaims were cancelled. He ran from them after Ortiz got his jaw broke by a 140 lb dude and Williams was wheelchair bound. Canelo was going to fight Cotto but he lost to Trout. Trout is the real deal and his style makes for a tough fight vs anyone. A Canelo win hopefully means Money May but if not then...winner of Angulo vs Kirkland II would be a good fight. That fight is supposed to be on May 4th undercard,so we'll see. That fight makes more sense on April 20 card as Kirkland is from Texas. lara,Vanes and Molina are not deserving of a title shot and together bring about 12-15 fans total to the table. It won't be Sergio as he is fighting Murray then Chavez again. :boxing:

He wanted to fight Martinez, Cotto, or Mayweather for this fight. Since Mayweather is never going to fight him he will try to get a fight with Martinez at 154 or Cotto. After that he should defend his title fighting the top guys like Lara and Molina.

In my opinion if Canelo beat Trout and Mayweather don't give him the fight I think that he is going to fight Sergio Martinez. What do you think???? i think floyd will surprise people with who he decides to fight the next 3 or 4 fights imo. long he keeps his 0 that is

And this would also show that Martinez is okay with meeting 154....If he beats Canelo it can be said that he is comfortable at that weight. And a Mayweather Vs Martinez fight is easier to make. Without all the talk about draining and etc. Exactly, it would give Martinez time to adjust and Canelo time to prove his worth for the fight with Martinez. In my eyes Martinez has already proved himself, but would be smart to adjust to 154 and get a title (two if Canelo does win). While it would give Canelo a big fight against a legit Veteran will skills and another day to prove his young self. In the end it would make a huge fight in the end, no matter what the ending result is, and I mean it if Trout wins as well.

If he doesn't get the Floyd fight he'll probably fight Angulo or Kirkland (if he gets his career back on track). I think GBP will tell him to keep the WBA belt and drop the WBC so he doesn't have to fight Lara and they don't have to put their eggs in the same basket for small money. Or maybe a unification with Smith/Molina winner but I doubt it.
