lets say he signed the agreement and canelo fought trout on may 4 and trout got robbed like manny vs bradley now he going fight a guy who eveyone on here said was beating in his last fight.
1. Would you want see that fight?
2. If Floyd pulled out would you be upset with him?
PBF signing to fight Alvarez would have been equal to De la Hoya (can't remember if it was signed or not) vs B-Hop. Strum the opponent before the mega-fight was robbed against De la Hoya so the B-Hop vs De la Hoya fight would still go on. Basically Trout stands or stood a great chance of being robbed against Alvarez just so the fight against PBF would still push through.
I would have been disrespectful to the opponent that Mayweather had in front of him, It can even prove to motivate guerrero and to be frank this such agreement should not be allowed in boxing because it can influence the judges, media and boxing fans.. Imagine if Cotto had sign an agreement to fight Canelo after Trout? Do you think Trout would have got the decision in their fight? Nope.
Mayweather has done it before, he signed to fight Judah before Baldomir beat Judah.
true and he took a lot of heat for it maybe he dose not want to go that route again
I believe Mayweather didn't sign to fight Canelo in advance because he simply will not take an ultimatum from an unproven kid who has never been on PPV before.
His ego would never allow that.I believe Floyd never intended to fight Canelo and he never will fight Canelo. No way, no how, nada, NEVER! If you want I'll make you the same bet you have with Pacman for 5 billion points.
Canelo not looking to earn anything, he is trying to take the cheap way to the top...you have some fans who spend hours on this forum Bashing guys like Broner and Danny Garcia and wanting to see them against better competition but with Canelo they kinda look the other way
They are using Mayweather because Canelo don't want to fight Trout! They have no confidence in Canelo beating Trout without some type of ROBBERY so they are trying to make it as if it is Mayweather fault, they basically want a Mayweather vs Canelo fight even if Canelo goes on and lose to Mayweather
If Trout got robbed, that means Canelo wins officially. So what's the problem? Uncle Roger still wants Bradley for his nephew. No big deal. It's no big deal for fans either.
Robberies don't usually end in one guy murdering an opponent to the point of not being able to fight again.
If Trout wins decisively, I don't think fans would prefer Canelo for Floyd's next fight. They'd clamor for Trout. Is this what you want? So far none of you floydiots have been promoting Trout for Floyd.

I wouldn't sign it either. Especially since the last two guys to be lined up to fight Canelo have lost... superstitious
now that would have been funny as hell
if mayweather signed the contract, he'd be doing it to duck _____. alvarez is unproven etc. etc. - NSB
a couple of weeks ago, mayweather was ducking guerrero.
 That sig.

A situation like that is why I think Alvarez wanted the guarantee, because there's a much better chance that Trout gets screwed if Mayweather is guaranteeing Alvarez a fight.
That's also the reason I'm glad Mayweather didn't sign a guarantee. Let's see how Alvarez looks against by far the best opponent of his career.
