HBO never wanted to do a 6 fight deal with Floyd. HBO didn't want to do multiple fight deals with anybody. Maybe a two fight deal at best like they did for alexander, berto and bradley.
With that said.......Floyd will fight all 6 fights. This is the deal that he wanted from HBO but couldn't get.
It's alot of cash to be paying out but credit to SHO for getting it done.
May 4th vs Guerrero
Sept vs Canelo if he wins
May 2014 vs TBD
Sept 2014 vs TBD
May 2015 vs TBD
Sept 2015 vs TBD
That equals to 28 months.
Now anything can happen to postpone a fight like injuries, jail etc lol......
But if all goes according to plan......Mayweather will get those 6 fights in 30 months done and retire a very rich man.
Its only two fights a year.
I'm glad 50 is reasonable about Floyd's chances of fighting that often. I think after this Guerrero fight, he calls it a day if he loses. Even if he wins, he is going to get touched up and hurt, he will take at least 8 months off to recover.
I'll bring this post back up after May 4th.
Actually, please do. I can't remember where it started, was it in a 24/7 or something?
I just remember it from the thread on this site, think it was Horus or something saying that Mayweather buying a boat was an investment even though the value depreciates. The whole thread was genius of the highest quality.
Juof it was a joke bredda :)
A lot of money for him to walk away from, even in defeat his earning power would still be huge and Showtime have presumably given him a lot of guarantees in that respect.
How set up is Floyd outside of boxing really? Oscar had a lot of investments in place by the time he walked away, and they made it possible for him to do so. I don't know if Floyd is in the same situation.
Floyd has Maywweather promotions and investments in reale estate.

He will fight again even if he loses or gets hurt. Cuz he will go broke. He will fight until he is 40.

What makes you think he's gonna get hurt? I hope you're basing this off the Berto fight.

yeah 50 seems like a reasonable guy, i like how he said that it will be succesful if floyd fights top guys, not just anyone .
