I knew Khan would fight someone of this caliber after the Molina fight. He is hell bent on the Garcia rematch and he's not gonna fight any one with a pulse so he doesn't lose before he gets it. Lame fight IMO. And a lame move by GB and team Khan. Lol. Have you ever even seen Diaz fight? Considering JMM, Soto, Lopez, Senchenko and Ortiz didn't want to come + Garcia, Peterson & Prescott scheduled for other fights, who do you suggest would be a better fight?

Does "mugs" mean beer drinker? Like beer mug? Or does it mean mofo's? Or am I just lost all together? The fight does suck though. Khan should go after Peterson again. When we call someone a "mug" or refer to people as "mugs" I guess the friendliest politest translation would be idiot or idiots. Calling someone a mug though could also mean many derogatory terms, for example: "Floyd Mayweather is a total mug" could be translated as "Floyd Mayweather is a complete dick". I`m not saying FMJ is a dick but for some reason when I thought of someones name to use his name popped into my head first lol.

I don't buy all this stuff about him having no chin, I'm not saying he can take a punch like Carl Froch but someone with no chin doesn't survive the fight with Maidana and doesn't get up after being knocked down by a big punch from Garcia, it's defense and brains he lacks, he's been way too easy to hit and too easily brought into a brawl. I don't have too much of a problem with the fight, it's only his second fight with Hunter, and only the fight before last he got knocked out. Besides as people have said they tried getting a ton of better names over to the UK but they weren't interested. I expect to see Garcia - Khan 2 by the end of the year though.

I just don't see how anybody can criticise this fight when most people don't believe Khan can compete with the best at 140-147. Seeing Khan vs Lopez or Maidana would be amazing, but what's the point if it's going to end in the first round. With the right conditioning I don't know how true this is..Better have a better game plan then just going for the KO..Just my opinion..

Khan's team offered the fight to Lopez, Bradley, JMM etc. and they turned it down for whatever reason. I don't like this fight but I guess it's better than nothing. A similar thing happened last time Khan was over in the UK, they tried to secure a fight with Peterson which didn't come to fruition so he ended up fighting McCloskey.

Beating a used up Diaz is the kind of win that will get Khan a Mayweather fight.

This spells a distinct lack of confidence by Khan's handlers. Why is he fighting meaningless fights when he should be calling out the best at 140? Why doesn't he rematch one of his losses? Prescott is fighting next month I believe, Garcia injured + fighting Judah, Peterson just fought Holt. So that's not possible. From what I heard, they tried to get a good load of names over, because he wanted to fight in the UK - which is completely fair. JMM, Soto, Ortiz didn't want to come to the UK whereas Lopez, Senchencko didn't want to do the catch wait - all reasons that are also fair. I still think this fight should have been Prescott - Khan II but for some reason, it seems like the Khan camp just don't fancy that fight. Even though Prescott would probably be exposed. So they have to take what they can get, but expect to see Khan - Garcia II later this year.

Second time Khan fights a guy whose name is same as a more famous fighter. For example Carlos Molina (same name as 154 Carlos Molina), and now Julio Diaz whose name sounds similar to Juan Diaz to the guy on the street. It's the boxing equivalent of selling a fake designer shirt.
