Let me start off by saying that I like Fury. I think he's improving and his mouth and Charisma will get people to pay attention to not only him, but the sport. There is an old saying that goes "even bad publicity is good publicity". That said, Why is it ok in the minds of some posters for Fury to be arrogant and insulting, but its different for fighters like Hopkins, Mallignaggi, Toney, Broner, Pazienza or Mayweather (who I personally cannot stand for a number of reasons)? Is there that much of a difference?
I am absolutely confident that Chisora's outrageous acts were spontaneous, and that Haye's way of promoting himself was calculated. If you think otherwise, you know nothing about human psychology and behaviour.
I know enough about human psychology to say you can never be 100% sure why someone did something. In other words you have no clue what you're talking about, you're assuming because it simply fits what you want to be true.
Since Fury supposedly has gypsy roots, wouldn't you think such a tweet would be sarcastic?
Irish Traveller roots and he gets a ton of racist abuse for it.
Who are you, Jab's buddy? :lol1:
I explained this to Jab already, so he might answer you.
Now, now. You never explained how you knew Chisora slap and spitting were spontaneous and Hayes wearing of a shirt was calculated. The cold hard fact is you CAN'T know.
Chisora's acts were not calculated like Haye's, that's the difference. Slapping and spitting is obviously not acceptable, I never said that.
And how would you know that?
Once again, I'm not excusing Chisora, I made an attempt to do some explanation for you, but you just don't get it :lol1:
That t-shirt was offensive as hell, Haye just doesn't have the balls to back anything up, so he wears stupid t-shirts and makes computer games.
What is so offensive about and shirt and how do you figure assaulting and spitting on someone is less offensive?
It was just a nasty and below the belt gesture with that stupid t-shirt. Haye didn't have to do that, the fight was already super-hyped. Tasteless and not funny as he pretended it to be.
Chisora's acts were more spontaneous and emotional, reactions from a guy under a lot of pressure. This also showed in the post-fight when he brawled with Haye during the presser.
This is just a pathetically sad and unobjective way of looking at things to excuse one fighter in an attempt to demonize another. Any objective person will tell you its far more offensive and insulting to slap and spit on someone than it is to wear a t-shirt trying to build hype. :nonono:
It's not acceptable what Chisora did, but hey, everybody makes mistakes.
Fair enough. So how is David Haye wearing a t-shirt worse than what Chisora did? Could you not chalk that up to a mistake or promotional stunt?
WladimirK
"Leave Vitaly alone!" :lol1:
Alt of an alt of an alt.......
:lol1:
That's right. Chisora is bonafide fruit loop. Haye is just a normal bloke really who is savvy enough to know what puts bums in seats and eyes on televisions. Of course he is arrogant but what top sportsman isn't?
Chisora bit the ear of a very journeyman in a 6-rounder in fight he was comfortably winning. Kissed another ham & egger full on the mouth at a press conference, slapped his girlfriend about. He has had several bust-ups with his trainer. Then of course the Haye debacle, and spit and slap-gate with the K-Bros.
I think he has learning difficulties but that doesn't change the fact he appears to be insane.
And like you say........Haye wore a t-shirt.
If you were trapped on a desert island with Chisora he would try and eat you on day 2 whilst you still had supplies.
Best post I've read in ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lmao!!! Great post, you deserve some green!
Looking decent against Vittles is a much different proposition than Wlad. And since when is it more acceptable in society to slap someone and spit in someones face than it is to wear a T-shirt?

Jabs, you do realise who this double standard Papillion alt is don't you?!!
:lol1:
Haye was nasty during the build up to his fight against Wlad. Wlad truly hated Haye, and you don't see Wlad the emotional guy very often.
I like Chisora over Haye, because at least Chisora backed up his crap in the ring against Vitali and gave a proper fight, unlike Haye who was all talk and no walk against Wlad.

But Haye is also not serious hes also just selling himself. He knows how the game works and how to generate numbers. But there is one guy with serious mental issues and that is Chisora. This guy is crazy. He slaped his girlfriend, he slaped Vitali on the weigh in, he spit Wlad in the face...thats a guy i cant stand. Haye and Fury are just hyping themself up, nothing what they did was intentional.
But Chisora is a type of guy i would never trust!
Great post, I totally agree.
Fury is improving verry fast, you have to give him that. But hes also improving his big mouth attitude. As long as he stays focused on his game and continues to improve i dont care about his stupid comments. Hes a student of David Haye.
If you are to humble and quiet as a fighter, you will not get much attention. Sad but true.
I disagree. There have been many humble and quiet champions. Louis, Arguello, Cotto, Patterson, Tunney, Marciano and plenty more.
What's Adolf got to do with boxing, I thought your topic was about boxers trash talking other boxers :lol1:
The thread is about why posters don't mind the trash talk of some fighters but are outraged by others. You're dismissal of Fury's "heil Hitler" yet outrage at David Haye wearing a T-shirt with a couple of fake severed heads tells me much about you.
And as usual you still didn't answer the question.
You really shouldn't take serious what Fury posts on his twitter account. That's what 'twinkle' means, it's nothing serious.
That t-shirt was nasty as hell though, below the belt line. It wasn't even funny.
