Did Tyson have a good chin?

A lot of ppl tend to rate a boxer's chin looking at the end of his career. One of Tyson's assets was his chin and defense along with all the other stuff (spped, power, intimidation, etc). Even Lenox Lewis said that he had a good chin cause he was landing big shots that he was feeling on his fist and he was tough to put down.

Great chin. p4p all time great as he stood up to punishment from much larger men. Buster Douglas was beating the ever living sh*t out of him, and even other durable HW's of the era would have been knocked out 5x over from the same amount of punishment it took to drop Iron Mike once. Something people actually miss in the shock of it all. Douglas literally raped him for 10 rounds with some shots that would have dropped a Gorilla.

Good chin. Lennox also had a good chin don't know why people say otherwise.

Tyson had a fairly solid beard in his prime days. The Williams/McBride losses he wasn't really hurt, Tyson just wasn't interested in taking anymore bombs and couldn't be assed.

Yes, he did. Even when he was still some what capable, you still had to beat the sh*t out of him to get him out of there.

Mike had a ATG chin...nothing less than GREAT imo

He had a great chin, his conditioning later in his career was very poor. Everyone that follows boxing knows, that if you are in good conditioning, you'll recover way faster from a big shot.

People say Vitali has a great chin mainly because of the punches he took from Lewis. In the Tyson fight Lewis was landing about 10 uppercuts a round on Tyson that didn't even move him.

Very good not great IMO he took some bombs from big punchers and even when he did lose by KO or tko he wasn't completely out. if he took bombs from big punchers and was never out,then how could his chin not be great?there havent been 10 better chins in hw boxing than tyson

Tyson had a great chin, Lewis hit him clean many times and Tyson could have got up and continued from the KO if he wanted to, he was tired and gave up.

This guy had an unbelievable chin, perhaps the strongest chin of all times. He took massive bombs from Lennox Lewis without even defending himself and wasn't even staggered ... That was just freaking unbelievable. McCall did it for 5 rounds while Mavrovic was taking Lennox's best shots for a whole 12. I'd have to go for Mav there.

It was pretty good, Lewis busted him up quite a bit too before he stopped him. Late in his career when he was getting KOed by those cans he was just giving up. That one fight he could have gotten up but he just sat there on his ass against the ropes and then said he hurt his knee as an excuse but he just didnt care at that point.

mike tyson had a great chin! but if you wanted to knock him out ud have to give him a beating for him to go down.
