Apologies if this thread has been done before, which it undoubtedly has, but haven't been on here for a while...
I might be going the fight next week so just wondering what people think Price's plan should be if he beats Thompson...
Taking into consideration a fight against Tyson Fury probably won't happen for a while yet.
Go the US and maybe fight Deontay Wilder and get a following over there?
Target someone like Adamek or another ex-Klitchsko victim?
Thoughts?
Arreola is a joke; the WBC are lining him up to take the soon to be vacant belt.
The sad fact about Wilder is that he has potential. Fighting tomato cans will get him an 'impressive' record, but he won't advance. If anything, I think he's regressed. Same can be applied to Povetkin, who a few years back looked like a 'genuine contender'.
The K-bros are scraping the barrel at the moment. How Manuel Charr earned a title shot is beyond me. Was he even ranked in the top 20 by the WBC? It's not entirely their fault, mind. If HW contenders actually fought each other, they'd be better prepared/more willing for a title fight.
Oh well.
if I was a contender HW i'd be wanting to fight the likes of arreola, adamek, thompson, charr every few months to get experience fighting half decent fighters. fighters need to be less worried about keeping a non-loss and more concerned with accepting the occasional loss to improve.
you can't blame the Klits cos theyve fought literally everyone they possibly can. not as if theyve ducked anyone is it?

There's no way Wilder goes in the ring with Price. Not a chance.
They'll keep padding Wilder's record out with bums before cashing in.
Re. Price, though - he'll blow Thompson away, I have no doubt. What he needs is a durable journeyman, so he can get some rounds under his belt. It's all well and good KOing your opposition in 1 or 2 rounds, but it's hardly adequate preparation for a Klitschko...
yeah I've seen clips of Wilder and he's not overly impressive
back in the day it used to be the obvious choice to go to the US but these days there's noone even semi-established at HW to target. It just seems his only option is to go through ex-Klitshcko victims.
I'm struggling to name a klit victim worth a shout - Arreola maybe. If the fat bastard can be arsed getting in shape
