Its wierd, Pacquaio getting KO'd the way he did kinda took the excitement out of boxing a little. I wonder......if Floyd loses to whomever, will that be good or bad for boxing.
Maybe Im not a true fight fan, but I have no fights to look forward to, shed some light and tell me what fights should be good. Im losing interest in Boxing, HELP.
I don't think it was bad for boxing, If anything it was good for boxing.
Bevor Marquez knocked his ass out, wanna be experts were saying Pac is the best ever etc. We also saw why Arum always did his best to avoid a fight with Mayweather, Floyd would make him look like a nobody in the ring.
Marquez deserves respect for that win, but instead he gets hated by the biased hbo crew.
Bunch of hypocrites on this thread
Couldn't agree more. Obviously the thread starter is a Pac fan. Dude is asking for suggestion to keep his fire/interest in boxing and hater tells him to get lost. And you wonder why boxing is losing fans. This thread starting to look like a Pac Floyd hate thread. This is ridiculous. :pat:

Well yeah, if Pac was the only fighter you know of then you aren't a true fight fan. Duh.
this is why i'm glad pacquiao lost the way he did, leave and never come back.
x100000000000000000. If you are a fan only because of one fighter than **** off. Fair weather fans are the vocal minority on here. Know nothing, say everything.
If they make the 5th fight it will be GREAT for boxing.
If they don't and Paquiao just retires in the next year or 2 then it will have be terrible for boxing
We've all had to go through this by now, a KO or not Pac is approaching the tail end of his career...it hardly ever goes well for any of our favorites, it's pretty gut wrenching.
I've gone through periods where I became unfamiliar with boxing's landscape and how the era was turning over, some of my favorite prospects lost their step-up fights or were getting old, etc.... and it hurt my interest in the very early 2000's, but then I was right back when new guys solidified themselves. Maybe it will open you up to following younger fighters and to go through the journey like you did with Pac, become a fan of boxing and not so much one fighter.
You got into boxing because of Pac, who killed off one of the most popular fighters of all time, it will happen again. Just remember boxing has a very rich history and there are 1000's of excellent fights you can go back to and put into context and understand the sport more, maybe when you come back to it you'll have a different perspective and it will make you more interested. I'm always interested in reading the posts of the posters who actually saw all these classic fighters live while it was all happenening, their scope of history is pretty vast so I bet seeing Pac lose is nothing to them.
For me, Pac-JMM IV set me up for another 10 years of being hooked - it was that unexpected.
It's Boxing, its not good or bad for boxing!! It was bad for Manny thats all, good for Juan and anyone who strangely wants to take credit for it hahaha!!! fans!!!
Its a KO it happens why is there such a big deal about it? Juan has stopped other fighters, Manny was stopped before they both win the vast majority of the time and they fight each other close in 3 other bouts! Move on. Ray.

Froch v Kessler II (the first fight from Round 4 onwards is a barnburner)
No, Pacquiao never agreed to any "extra" testing. Pactards made that up for their hero just to try and save face.
Then Floyd and team must have been lying when they said "Testing is no longer an issue?"
By the way, even in the original negotiations, Manny was agreeing to do "extra" testing, just didn't agree to the cut-off date and the accusations being thrown around with no proof. So you are wrong there.
didn't pac later agree to do floyd's extra testing though? sure it was suspicious at first, but the fact is pac later agreed to do his testing...
also it's not as suspicious as a 39 year old marquez hiring a known ped dealer and showing incredible power as a result..
the KO woke up alot of people to the danger that peds pose to combat sports like boxing and MMA...
Manny can stutter all he wants, but without daddy Arum's approval he ain't doing sht. Fifth fight Marquez is going to ask for random testing with no cut off days and we already know who's going to refuse again. haha phaggot. :fing26:
It was good and bad,
The bad that Pac lost, boxing need a new face, when i step inside a bar, people always talk about boxing, when a subject on boxing comes up the first boxer you think about is Pac.
The good is Pac is just one boxer and could be replaced, but its going to be very hard, I think Ward can be the new star, hes the type that you would want to root for everytime he fights like Pac.
If the floyd-pac fight was never going to happen, then good for boxing in a way. JMM is on the way out as mentioned and no future star was born. JMM will still not be a PPV star after such a win.
Floyd losing to someone like Guerro is very unlikely but yes that would allow a future star to be born but it's not going to a guy that I believe will go on to win without cherry picking opponents. He can lose and wouldn't be a p4p star/status as PAC/FLOYD.
There are good fights with donaire - mares, donaire - rigo, mares - rigo, BAM BAM vs khan (KNOCK OUT FOR RIOS?) which will catapult rios even higher. BAM BAM vs Garcia after. This would help rios out big time.
whats bad for boxing is ...retiring in the prime of your career. Ducking rematches and all other hot prospects.
whats bad for boxing is...being a Rich Coward.
Whats bad for boxing is...not caring what the fans want to see.
whats bad for boxing is... going to jail instead of the ring to fight.
Whats bad for Boxing is... spreading the false accusations of steroids to a fellow boxer that never said one wrong thing to you or about you...(while being caught up in a PED scandal ones self...)
Whats bad for Boxing is... ducking the guy you cherry picked!!!!
Whats bad for boxing is being a in the lime light of stardom and beatin up women...
ehhh i dont think one KO loss is bad for Boxing...Thats Boxing. the above is not!^
especially when that KO loss exposes all the BS fans of the guy who gets KTFO and makes them make false accusations of steroids to a fellow boxer that never said one wrong thing to you or about you...(while being caught up in a PED scandal ones self...)
Thats why you look so stupid every time you post. Why would anyone want a great fighter to leave and never come back? Youre just a hater of a great fighter that brought so much to the sport ...you hate to admit....but the last three most exciting buzzes in Boxing have been Ali...Tyson...and now Pacquiao.
And TS...His loss want Bad for Boxing. It was a turning point for better things to come. His return will be yet another Wow factor for Boxing.
I was speaking to the thread starter you twit.
I don't think it was bad. I think if a younger fighter like Tim had gotten the KO it would've been better because he still has his career in front of him while JMM is on his way out.
WHen floyd loses it will be good for boxing, especially if its guerrero, because a new star will be created.if Timmy had KOd Manny he'd still be the same Timmy & Rob beating Floyd will not make him a star.
Manny losing (the way he did), did nothing to boxing but run the "Fly by nite, casual PagBoys"OUT!
Elvis has left the building, but he was the fake Elvis anyway.
