What the hell is wrong with Arum?????????????????

He's worse than Don King. At least Don made fights happen. This stingy ass hole only cares about making money for him self and f**k everything else. Maybe he's worse from a fan perspective lately but I'm not sure boxers would agree he's worse than King. Arum looks after his fighters, they respect him, most have no respect for Don King.

When Arum dies, Top Rank will crumble like a pack of cards. Arum IS Top Rank. When he stops so does Top Rank. You don't get to the top of the game by being a nice guy. Arum is dirty, but I still respect him. He's been a part of boxing for a long time and has made a lot of guys into superstars over the years. Can't really fault him for being very good at what he does.

After Rigo-Donaire and Rios-Alvarado II, Top Rank can burn to the ground for all I care. I'm not even sure what's taking Golden Boy so long to take over the throne. Top Rank still seems to be the top powerhouse in boxing despite the lack of a decent stable.

I prefered Juan and Manny to go home and let the young guys coming up have a bigger slot! However the bouts between those two are certainly NOT boring, they both get in great condition and come to fight. All the bouts were competitive! Even Manny getting stopped was NOT a lopsided fight, he had Juan in deep trouble the round prior to the end. They were both landing shots and the bout was exciting!!! You know what your going to get action wise! I worked on Bob Arum shows and he is extremely intense and wants every detail to come off correctly. He is NOT cheap with his expenses and his per-dium is more than fare! Theres alot of talk on this thread alone thats ridiculous but thats what happens when people who have NEVER worked for the guy talk out of their butts!! :rolleyes: Ray. arum is one of the most driven non participants in the history of boxing. you guys overstate his "greed," and underrated his commitment to top rank. a guy like that will go until he dies. if he stopped working his life would end quickly. believe it. he might even die at an arena, if he never becomes bedridden or hospital bound. frankly, most of you will never leave a legacy worth building to until the very end in anything outside of your family lives, which is fine. that's a noble pursuit. some men accomplish more than that.

I suspect he made tons and tons of money in the JMM/Pac 4 and he hasn't even declared the PPV numbers in that fight. Why, because he's keeping it secret from Team Pacman.
