Shane Mosley really shouldn't be a first ballot hall of famer

Seriously when you go over his accomplishments, what makes him so great? Floyd has better accomplishments than him at the lower weights. So basically now if you fought everyone but lost you should get into the hall of fame? Just becuaes you didn't duck anyone? I'm not saying Shane shouldn't be in the hall but people hype him up too much, he isn't a first ballot guy, maybe he could get in on the third try in a weaker voting year? He beat up a washed up Vargas, was getting outboxed by a one dimensional brawling washed up Mayorga and than pulls off a last ditch KO, Lost to Floyd, Lost to Vernon twice, lost twice to winky wright, lost to Miguel Cotto he did good in the fight but lost, used steroids for Oscar, and was given a gift in the rematch, lost to Pacquiao ran like a scared cat in that fight, lost to Canelo, his best win is Antonio Margarito. and his lightweight reign is kinda weak most notable name is jesse james leija.

One of the best ever at 135, pre-PED scandal. Definitely made a lot of bad career choices though. The calendar shown in evidence "suggested" that Mosley began and finished the banned drugs in 12 days from end July to 1st week August. He was never charged nor suspended, for which the Commission must have had a reason, probably that he tested clear. As a lightweight, he had 8 defences all won by KO; Mayweather had 3 with 1 by KO. Considering that Gatti was a 1st round winner, Mosley should make it easily depending on what other entrants there will be.....

depending on his class, he probably won't be. there are a lot of top fighters who will probably be eligible in ~ 5 years. hopkins, toney, jones, holyfield, marquez, pacquiao would all beat him out, for example. I agree with this.

Theres been some type of cheating (drug) in all sports since their inception. Every athlete looks for a decisive edge. Weither its "nasal spray" hahaha or anabal or "whites" its prevalent. Ishot up B12 30 hours out from fights did the same for all my fighters if I saw results. Is that cheating or does the substance need to illegal? Whatever Shane took did it enhance his talents? No! It could have enhanced his performance. Yes! I'm talking about talents, substances have nothing to do with his learning skills and talent level. Ray B12 is not illegal tho... Lol, no I didn't but I forgot to mention it , thank you. Mosley was 154lbs with very little body fat, and was able to load up on shots all night long. Just what, 4 months later KOs the highly touted Margarito. Do you not remember how Mosley was talked about before he suddenly aged? Furthermore, the Mayorga fight was a very close fight very entertaining. Mosley decided to brawl against Mayorga and was actually losing some exchanges/rounds. Mosley fought to Mayorga's abilities.

If I remember correctly, pre-Margarito, Shane was an ageless - time defying boxer. Fast forward to post rd 2/ Mayweather, Mosley suddenly aged. He was not as ripped, didn't seem to have the stamina he was known for. The lay-off/overtraining or Mayweather's testing demands? you musta missed the mayorga fight.

Hall of Famer easily!!!! Great talent one of the best fighters throughout the 2000 - 10!!! Boxes beautifully can bang when needed came out of the Lightweight class undefeated with more than 30 wins and took on 47 and 54 pounders who were naturally bigger and world class fighters (Forest & Winky). Was never stopped even when fighting far beyond his prime years. As a Lightweight could fight in any era and do well! Ray.

Once you put yourself in that situation you have nobody to blame but yourself, whether people judge your whole legacy or not. I posted my thoughts in that thread. I said once talking about my all time Mexican faves Morales would no longer be listed. I guess it all depends on the person and their point of view.
