Can't believe so many of ye believe this fight is happening This is all a negotiating ploy, IMO. Floyd trying to show Guerrero he better just take whatever deal is on the table and be happy with it, because he can and will find anyone else to agree to terms as dictated by team Floyd... Either that or he announces a sh*tty ass opponent like this so when the real opponent is announced, we all say "well at least it wasn't alexander" I hope this fight isn't happening, it would be an absolute joke, and a terrible terrible matchup. I only want to see Floyd fight Martinez at 154 and retire win or lose. Floyd's status in the sport has eclipsed everyone else in the sport that regardless of the competitiveness of the matchup, no other fight could possibly satisfy everyone.

The guerrero fight is also just as bad. Ghost is actually a lot slower too, which wouldn't help at all. Neither fight interests me.

I like the fight way better then a Guerrero fight.Guerrero is cheater anyways who cheated to beat Berto.And Berto is not all that anyways.Everytime he fights a top opponent he loses. A better fight for Floyd would be Trout or a belt-holder at middleweight. I'm not even joking, I think Mayweather-Alexander is the most boring fight that could be made in the entire sport. It's horrendous.

I think this fight (win or lose) hurts Mayweathers legacy more than improve it. This is terrible. If this fight is on, people will point to it as evidence of Mayweathers ducking and i believe rightly so.

Guerrero is definitely more exciting but Bradley is the better boxer. I think he'd outbox The Ghost over 12. Not a fan of Tim's style either but in all honesty, Bradley is the 3rd or 4th best ww at the moment. sadly we'll never see a guerrero/bradley fight because of GBP/Top Rank I miss boxing back in the 70's and 80's, all the fights got made (well most of them), and losses didn't mean nearly as much as they do now it's like promoters don't do any of the work anymore, and it's all on the fighter to keep that 0. if you lose it, you get shelved/used to build up other guys edit: and Bradley isn't a better "boxer" than Rob. you're confusing "slickness" for "Boxing ability" yeah he can bob and weave and move his upper body, but if you want to see a masterpiece by Robert, watch his Katsidis fight. that fight takes a dump on every single Bradley fight that I've ever seen in terms of looking for "Boxing Ability" from Tim.

This could be the fight that finally kills boxing. Millions of sheep will buy the fight because of Mayweather's name and for their $60 they'll be rewarded with possibly the most boring and uninspiring match up in sports history. Now, I know why people nuthug Pacquaio - it's because he's involved in 'fights'.

Outside of Pacquiao and Bradley none of the 147 options provide an attractive match-up.

I see a lot of you are of the opinion that Floyd isn't really fighting Alexander but making his next "real" opponent seem better. But I'm not sure. In all honesty even the Guerrero fight is not worthy of Floyd at 147, I'd prefer Bradley over that, having said that, the Devon fight is an absolute disaster. The guy has questionable wins over guys like Kotylnik. He quit against Bradley in the biggest fight of his life. The fact that Hearn, Brook and the rest of the British promotional team are pissed, goes to show this fight is most likely legitimate. Wonder who actually voted for this fight being watchable. I'd prefer Robert over Bradley 10 times out of 10. Robert at least makes exciting fights, there's a reason Bradley has no fan base. Robert is almost always in exciting matches and IMO he beats Bradley, he has more aspects to his style, than Tim and he's a more accurate puncher. not a fan of tim's wide looping punches

I think it will be a TERRIBLE match up. Devon hasn't provided any excitement in a while. On the contrary, he's been stinking up the joint. And this is also a cherry pick from Floyd. I think he views the Ghost as too much of a threat, tbh. Robert is a hungry, confident south paw and I think Floyd will attempt to fight the less skilled, less hungry south paw.

To each his own etc, but if anyone is actually happy about this fight i'm puzzled. I think it's very unlikely to happen though. Seems like Al Haymon and team Mayweather likes to throw out these ridiculous matchups before the announcement to boost their actual pick. I can kind of see a pattern here.

As a Floyd fan, it's a garbage fight and one I won't be paying to watch.

Is that going to be ppv? cause i ain't buying that sh*t nor do i know anyone who would unless the guys i know who lick Floyd's taint for bfast. My smart side is hoping Floyd may be trolling everyone just so we can be happy we get Guerrero which is another turd fight just a less sh*tty smell.
