Benn KOs Froch in the 9th round. His style would have been a nightmare for Froch and Froch would have got into a war which would play right into Benn's hands.
Lots of people were saying Froch would get into a war with Abraham and get ko'd but he used his boxing his height and reach his long jab. Now I'm not comparing Abraham to Benn but people have a bad habbit of underestimating Froch.

@daggum....no geezer that's not what I meant.
I did not always like Calzaghe (still don't really) and Froch and Benn are far more my type of fighters and my real ring idols.
But the thing about JC is that he always found a way to win, he was Mr. Adaptable and Mr. Gameplan and that gets results.
Love Froch and Benn - but the realist in me says that Calzaghe would have won the fight, despite not making any friends along the way.
I pretty much agree with you, I could see Joe beating both even though I would have loved to see Benn blast Calzaghe & Froch, but if I was putting my coins on the table it would have been tough to not put money behind Joe squeeking out a win

Two of my all-time favourites.....
....but if push came to shove, a badly bruised and dazed Benn survives some brutal knockdowns and finds an inplausible/miraclous way to suddenly unleash a massive barrage of punches in the ninth round to stop Carl.
Regrettably, Calzaghe then beats the winner on points.
you mean calzaghe beats the winner after they turn 40 and by split decision. greatness.

That was an oddly specific prediction

Both could have stopped each other I think and as Benn was my favourite fighter I'm going to be unashamedly biased and say Benn by KO
Its not biased, Benn has the speed and power to hurt anyone. Even though he didnt hit as hard at Super middle he was a better boxer (paced himself, used head movement etc) than early in his career. So a Benn win definitely isnt out of the question.
One things for sure both would go out on their shields if they had to (and Benn did vs McClellan).
Taylor was not a destroyer at SMW either, and yet :

Yeah, but Benn doesn't have the skill to get inside without getting hit. Swing and roundabouts.
Love Nigel but he was not the destroyer he was at Middleweight. Slow poison at Super Middleweight.
Carl would have broke him down in a really good fight.

Froch breaks his down & stops him late.
I could see Froch's jab giving Benn all sorts of problems.
I also see Froch's chin, stamina and straight punching koing Benn.
