He was durable not anymore, he was knocked the **** out by Hernandez, Matthysse beat a lversion that had been shot for a long time, or will you just pretend that isn't the case.
You mean Hernandez who was huge as a welterweight & has very respectable power?
That punch would of knocked virtually anybody out! I am sure we can agree that was one hell of a punch.
The very durable Corley who has taken Floyd, Dulorme, Witter, Provodnikov, Maidana, Judah, Bailey and a whole heap of other world class and concussive punchers the distance.
You don't think Corley is very durable? Frankly laughable. Great attempt of nit-picking though.

Dallas jr is garbage, not a durable fighter at all, doesn't prove much about his punching power.
His KO's, KO percentage and the fact that he has 20 KDs in his last 9 fights including all of those 9 fighter i think (not sure about Angel Martinez) prove alot about his punching power

He has knocked out or knocked down every opponent he has ever faced! Soto has a granite chin, Ajose has a granite chin and had never been down pro or amateur same with Devon!
Dallas took everything Lopez had, Lucas crushed him with one shot.
He dropped the very durable Corley 8 times!
Judah said Lucas is the hardest puncher he has ever faced.
He is the hardest puncher in the division and even maybe p4p!
Its undeniable, the man hits like a mule & has vicious power in both hands.

Dallas let the moment get to him, dude was shaking like a leaf and over-eager. Matthysse was very calm, saw his opening and blasted him. He's definitely improved since the Judah fight, and I can't wait til he gets his title shot.
We know that he can put C-level fighters to sleep, and we know he can break down and knock down B-level fighters. There's no A-level fighters at 140 imo, so his power should be reliable against whoever. Lucas would most definitely hurt Khan/Garcia/Peterson and he could possibly stop them all too.

Is Lucas's power still overrated?

Maybe not by itself but 33-2-0 (31 KO's), 86% KO rating says a little something.
In context, what did he say? Did he just mother****er randomly or what? The translator didn't interpret it.
I didn't really go back and rewatch it but he just threw that out randomly :lol1: I think it was the excitement
Matthysse KO's Garcia if they fight. I think Garcia is pretty good but Matthysse's power is gonna break him down.
Lucas' boxing abilities have improved greatly as well, he landed several nice counter punches in a matter of seconds against Dallas.
Crying in the ring talking about his team and family. Tremendous.
I hope Dallas jr is ok. That was a big knockout from a big puncher. Dallas jr ought to think about calling it quits. I've heard from more than one media outlett that Dallas jr talks like he's punchy in some instances.
Soto karass got himself a big win as well. He's a hard working fighter, and it's great to see him get the w in a big fight.
Showtime sounds like they are looking to put matthysse in the ring with Garcia if he should beat Judah. That will be one of the more highly anticipated fights of the year by non mainstream boxing fans.
Goodnight mike Dallas jr.

Over hyped bum. He needs to build his brand more before getting a shot at Garcia.
dude, Matthysse arguably deserved a decision against Judah who's getting a title shot, clearly deserved to beat Alexander, a champion in a weight class one division north, spanked a good proven fighter in Humberto Soto, KO'ed an undefeated up and comer in Olusegun, and now just stopped a fighter probably in the top 20 at 140lbs. with one punch in round 1. That resume is comparable to Garcia's, possibly even better. No way he doesn't deserve a shot.
I think Matthysse should be favored in a fight against Garcia. Schaeffer says he's looking to put Matthysse in with Maidana which is the second best fight to be made, but honestly Matthysse has done more than enough to deserve a title shot at this point.
