The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) warns once again of the link between supplement products and positive doping tests. We would like to highlight a recent doping case to illustrate to athletes and their support personnel how supplements and sport nutrition products can pose a real risk of a positive test.

Quarter of dietary supplements contain steroids
13 out of 50 analyzed contained banned substances, study says

They should ban those body building supplements from boxing, a lot of them contain stimulants, methylhexaeamine and pro hormones and are not FDA approved. Just because they sell them in the store idiots think they are safe, sorry they are not.
Just send some of those supplements they call muscle builders to a lab to get tested, they will find a lot of anabolic agents in them.
Look what happened to Andre Berto he took some supplement he bought over the counter and it was laced with Nandrolone steroids.
Victor Conte tells all his fighter do not take any supplements that I do not approve because a lot of them are contaminated and he isn't lying.
I think these are the stuff that need to be looked into, before any training camp all fighters must show the supplements they are taking to a commission, the commission should either approve or test them to see if they are legit and not tainting, and combine this with year round testing like the one Nonito Donaire is doing, not the 8 week Mayweather one which Lance Armstrong was able to pass saying their is no out of competition testing is why he beat the tests so easy.
Dude, God only knows what we ingest on a regular basis. That's why the whole organic food industry has taken off. There are a growing number of people that are becoming wary of the food they're being sold. And with good reason. I'm not an alarmist by any means. I buy the regular foods at the supermarket and I eat out. But I know that there's no telling what I'm consuming. I just don't want to live my life like there's impending doom outside. lol
There's a pretty good documentary called "Food, Inc." If you're interested about the food industry in America, it's well worth watching. Also, "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" is an excellent and fun documentary on steroids and PEDs in sports. Both films are eye-opening.
lol I saw that Food inc on my netflix very good docu but it will make you not want to eat, Bigger faster stronger is another good one, thats where I started learning about stuff on the counter being more dangerous because they are not FDA approved, they were saying that steroids is safe if taking in moderation but some of those products you buy over the counter could actually be more dangerous, man that was gross when he was making the supps from home and those mexican guys were sneezing on them lol
This is why I stopped using commercial lotions in the store and only use organic lotions when I have dry skin, people don't realize those things go into our pores and absorb into our blood streams. those lotions have a lot of chemicals.
I believe Errol Spence might have bought a tainted supplement that had testosterone or pro hormones in them over the counter.
Look at the Gyno

didnt rios get busted for dmaa
Yeah he did, long after it was banned.
Found it a bit surprising that Alex Ariza claimed at least he didn't know what it was.
I can't see him of giving it to Rios as he surely had a list from the FDA of all banned substances then again it seemed very fishy he got laid off not long after it.
a lot of this is stupid ****.
theres a ton of different sudafed like drugs that are all banned because theyre stimulants, but hardley are the peds compared to steroids and epo ect.
trace amounts of pro hormones in supplements arent really going to do **** but they will fail your drug test.
I think most of the time though, these athletes are full of **** and taking larger amounts of them then blame it on supplements when they get caught.
I just read a new news report saying even more supps are tainted, some of those libido and test boosters have viagra powder in them. Many of these supps have peds in them, its because FDA doesn't regulate the industry. Even some of the whey can make you swole, there was a couple of legit protein supps back in the 1990s that really had roids.

I believe he failed a test when he fought Richard Hall who also tested positive for the same product containing the same substance.
That's when Andro was popular, that was the Sosa vs. Mcgwire era. They were selling prohormones like crazy over the counter, Andro was strong stuff.
Not true bro, there are so many companies that don't get caught for a couple of years, the Feds don't even seem to really care, the only time they do is when the company is raking in mega millions like 100 million plus like Gaspari and BSN or Muscle Tech. A lot of the companies do not get caught because they do not list the ped on their label, when they do get caught they will use the trace contaminants excuse and than they usually get off the hook many of these supp companies have been caught usings Peds and they still are in business, its almost like they just get a slap on the wrist.
If you search hard enough you can find some tests done on these supplements and many of them are either poor quality with contaminants like Arsenic and lead, or have some type of Peds in them.
I don't doubt that some manufacturers get away with using trace elements (which doesn't get you off the hook, by the way) for a period of time. But the kind of operation that you describe is, quite simply, a criminal enterprise and would get slammed hard. I must disagree with you there.
Maybe he didn't want to throw the company under the bus? Could be a start up company in Florida who gave him some supps to use to hopefully get an endorsement?
I remember Roy Jones Jr. said Twinlabs Ripped Fuel caused his positive test, and I think at the time when he took it the original formula had Andro?

Wow! that is messed up, no wonder a lot of people are paranoid bout the food they eat, I wouldn't doubt if the hormones they pump in cattle could cause younger teens to develop gyno during puberty.
we are basically guinea pigs, these food plants dont give two craps about us and just want to make money off us by injecting their cattle with roids to produce more beef so they can sell more, just like with the veggies a lot of them are genetically modified for quantity and size.

theres no other choice we have almost 7 billion people on earth, we cant feed that many with out GMO's
Also in America the poor Americans eat enough for 3 billion people lol.
What about if we grow food in our back yard? like growing your own garden would that help against those contaminated veggies at least?
If you intentionally put that level of PEDs in an over-the-counter supplement, you wouldn't get anywhere near selling one million bottles. The feds would literally be crashing through your door before your second shipment. That's the other side of the coin, which I didn't feel the need to elaborate on.

thats really dodgey to not name the supplemet that made him test positive.

before the World Cup the german football federation told players to stay away from the meat.

Most 16's olds tested positive for clenbuterol the same drug founf in erik morales.
