Froch-Hearn said the deal would need to be done today or they would go to purse bid on 1/15... It's already 1/15 in Copenhagen and will be shortly in London as well with no word on Kessler signing....
Has this sad excuse for a fighter made his ducking of Froch official?
You know Kessler can't be looking over any contracts at this late hour, it might strain his eyes and leave him unable to fight legit opponents for a couple years.
him with PED accusations?
Did you read the post I was responding to?
If someone is going to backhandedly accuse Froch of using PED's I don't see what is so crazy about accusing Abraham. I was merely making a point, which was obviously lost on you.
Eddie Hearn just tweeted:
Long night..off to Sheffield for @SpecialKBrook press conference on @SkySportsNews - we will also make an announcement re @Carl_Froch today
lol yes, it's very much the intangibles with Froch...draw them into a tear-up and outchin them.
In saying that, as a result his boxing ability is a little underrated. He showed against Abraham, Johnson and Kessler how good can be fighting off the backfoot (I think maybe in the Pascal fight too although that was a while ago now).
He has definitely improved with experience and has polished up a little with his boxing skills but he still does things that seem amateurish to degree and is very slow in both feet and hands and sloppy.
But, it's effective and he get's the job done so who's the fault him? He's a very good and proven top fighter despite his lack of ability in many area's.
Silly comments in this thread.
:bsflag:
Kessler isn't ducking Froch, he's probably not even directly involved in the Hearn-Sauerland negotiations.
Who's to say who is causing the negotiations to be unsuccessful? We don't know the details.
It's funny you post that yet you are all over Canelo saying he is ducking thewhole 154lbs div. can't have it both ways bro
Just find it to be sloppy and un-coordinated a lot of the time and that's not really what I'm usually into.
I can be entertained by Froch but it's just simply a preference thing and nothing more.

What is it you dislike about his style? his style delivers entertaining fights almost every time he steps in the ring.

:lol1: I do. That's the most hilarious part about it.
I respect him a lot and he is growing on me but I still dislike him and his style.

If Sauerland organizes the testing than I have ZERO confidence that it is done on the up and up.
Abraham probably takes PED's for every fight but they never catch him yet test his opponent so they frame him with a failed test if he beats Artie.
Abraham KO'd Taylor, went to the US to fight Conte-associated Ward and Dirrell and has come back strongly after defeats, yet you want to hit him with PED accusations?
All we know for a 100% fact is Froch and his team want the fight and have offered Kessler and his team a very good offer.
Not sure it's quite as clear as that, as Kessler's team haven't been anywhere near as forthcoming about details and I am loathe to trust the word of any one promoter.
I don't think not agreeing to Froch's offer to fight in Froch's hometown is a duck. The fight will probably be close and Kessler can't win a close fight there. If Kessler turned down a good money offer to fight Froch on neutral ground that would be a duck.
Froch's team said they would both get 2 million for the fight. I have no reason to doubt this. The sticking point I believe is that Froch wants to fight in his home town of Nottingham and Kessler would prefer London as its more accessible to the Danes flying over to watch the fight. That's one sticking point, I'm not sure about ppv.
Edit: If that is indeed the only sticking point Froch should give in as it doesn't matter where the fight happens in England, it is still Froch's country. Maybe Kessler wants more than 2 million if he has to fight in Nottingham instead of London. Who knows? Its all speculation.

and if they were to differ, then what? 'oh gee, i guess we'll never know who was at fault here, it's not like we can refer to their respective histories and take an educated guess or anything.' :lol1:
I have no reason to think Kessler is a liar. He could have valid reason for not wanting to take the fight if indeed he has turned it down.
If you know something that nobody else knows, something to do with the negotiations........I mean, maybe you are so important that you were also at the negotiating table with both parties? Please feel free to enlighten us.
Until then you are just a fan taking sides without an ounce of knowledge to what's really happening.
OSD is in all the Sauerland fighters' contracts, part of their agreement with ARD TV.

the point i was making was, Froch took Kessler places nobody else (not even the guys who beat him) has. and that is undoubtably true.
if u phrase it that way i'm inclined to agree
on a sidenote, gus johnson is known to exaggerate his commentary in fights...ward-froch being an excellent example
guys often fight back when they're hurt. Kessler was rocked in the fight, most observers noted this.
i'm not so sure most observers did...but even if they did i can only speak for what i saw
like i said if i were to side with any of the two fighters it would be froch but even he by his own admission said kessler got him with a couple of good body shots
maybe we hold different defintions of being 'hurt'...i'll clarify on my own definition:
maidana hurt khan
judah hurt cotto
pac hurt dlh
barrera hurt naz
Are you certain? What's your source, Carl Froch himself? What are the other details?
Are there other conditions Froch is demanding, like no PED testing? Sauerland requires all their fighters do Olympic-style random drug testing.
I bet Froch and Hearn are not willing to agree to OS testing. :)
Kessler does OSD? First time I've heard of it.
