Lewis easily, but Wlad can iron out the string of bums record he has had if he continues to poach decent opponents (ie Haye level or above). My instinct is that he can never close the gap though - he'd have to fight several more decent opponents and he'd be too old to do that soon without losing to most of them. So I'd never say never, but its going to involve a lot of drugs if it does happen!
When Lewis was active everyone thought he was a boring, cherry picking c*nt who talked like a homo.
Only after he retired did people appreciate him.
People will appreciate Wlad a lot more when he is gone and nobody can hold one of the titles for more than 2 defenses.
Lennox Lewis without question - they aren't even in the same league. Wlad is a good boxer but Lennox is one of the greatest. Just imagine if they fought, Lennox would KO Wlad within 4 rounds, Wlad would crumble after a few of his crisp jabs landed. Wlad rarely gets hit because of his size advantage, but Lewis would have no problem landing on him and after Wlad took a few Lewis shots and realized he couldn't avoid getting hit like he usually does, it'll be over very quickly. It would be a massacre, Lewis was just a superior fighter by far - both on the inside and outside - Wlad has about half the number of skills and techniques in his arsenal. No comparison in my opinion.
i tend to think LL but i do rate wlad a lot higher now than i used to. whatever problems wlad had in the past it seems hes ironed them out now.
LL has also come back from adversity being koed twice. But i used to think Wlad was a bit of a joke, but he has redeemed himself to some extent although no reallly grreat opponents for him to fight. But haye was a decent opponnent and wlad handled him well.

I have Wlad as top 10 atm.. You are actually one of the best Klitschko posters on either site...So you do understand that there is a sizable contingency of people who thought that Wlad would have gotten KNOCKED OUT again if he fought Sanders asap.
Do you HONESTLY think Wlad could have won an immediate rematcH?
I really don't.. THE CURRENT VERSION of Wlad could beat Sanders. But say 3 months after the first defeat? What happens?
AT WORST. It's still a 50-50 fight imo.
I am not really sure. That version of Wlad was no where near this version. He had many holes in his defense - combine that with not Vitali's like chin and it's the problem. It would be 50:50 fight if they had immediate rematch.
But this version of Wlad beats very prime Sanders 99 out of 100 times.
It's also amazing that Holyfield was fighting for the world title at his 13th fight, I think the Klitschko's knew the dangers of facing even aged ATG's (Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson) in the late 90's/early 00's. Wlad got sparked by Sanders before he could face Lewis and Vitali got stopped by Lewis soon after.
Wlad wanted to fight Lennox in early 2000 and everything prior to Sanders was leading to that fight (manny mentioned that many times).
Anyway that version of Wlad would easily lose to Lennox, but Wlad developed only under Manny - and that's the thing when people taking about Wlad - they don't want to see that difference.
Vitali is different story (although I think he didn't peak in Lennox fight he was much closer to his prime than Wlad was), but I also think Vitali would easily beat both Holyfiled and Tyson if they met in early 2000.

It shows Wlad was a coward and couldnt face the men who defeated him.
Combine that with his already weak opposition, Wlad doesnt have a snowballs chance in hell to surpass Lennox. On top of that Lennox is not losing anymore fights, Wlad still can.
No, not at all. Wlad didn't have a proper chance to fight Sanders again. Man fought only 3 times after Vitali and he lost one of these three. He was pretty much done and Wlad just begin to fully develop under Manny.
Wlad beat some very good HW in their primes and it's only your opinion he can't surpass Lennox. Yes, Lennox can't lose more, but he can't win more either.
Once again.. Wlad fought more fights because he fought more bums during the building record stage of his career.
Example:
Lennox's 15th fight opponent record:35-0 (35 KO)
Wladimir's 15th fight opponent record: 7-31
Wladimir heading into Sanders ALREADY HAD 40+ FIGHTS..
But Wlad's 14th fight opponent was 84-19 (62 KO) and Wlad took him in 2 rounds. Wlad was young (20 years). Lennox was 26 by the time of his 15th fight.
Well regardless of that it's 20 more fights, preparation/training camps, 20 more tortures to your body.
Lets also note that Wlad's amateur record is 134-6 and Lewis's is 75-7. And it's known that Lennox waited to win the gold medal.
And why is this so important? if those fighters were some ATG/HOF I would understand, but Wlad lost to them when he was very far from his prime and Sanders practically retired after Vitali beat him.

Corrie Sanders is in heaven, so Wlads chances of beating everyone he ever faced is gone.

If Wlad beats next dominant champion I don't see why he wouldn't be regarded at least same as Lennox.
He fought 20 more fights (by the time he retired, it will probably be 30). He lost only 3 times (lennox lost 2 and 1 draw). He beat many good HW in their primes (lennox did beat some ATG but not near their primes).
I can't see the reason why Lennox should be regarded higher..
Quite clearly Lewis.
I think Wladimir would have a considerably better resume if his brother wasn't around. Although that could possibly mean a few more losses.
With Steward, he'd have no real problems.
