My favorite fighter is Floyd. I have to ask myself, which fight is mayweather's crown jewel. Muhammad beat George Foreman. Holeyfield beat Tyson, Ray beat Hearns/hagler. Marquez ko'd pacquiao. What is the one fight for floyd that solidifies everything. This is a case where being too good hurts you. Will floyd ever have that "opponent or performance" that we can say 20yrs from now, That was a hell of a fight. I can say "I remember the night marquez knocked out pacquiao". What will we say about floyd. We have probably another 2 yrs to find out. Otherwise we'll just say he dominated his era, but what will be that one fight?

Well he has a mansion, A Bentley, now he needs a White Women or White Man what ever he prefers
He doesnt really have one....Corrales probably, but that was an age ago and since then he is known more for the fights he avoided rather than the ones he fought. If there are that many people talking about him in twenty years, then his excuses wont be remembered, only his avoidance and thats because he will be being measured against greater fighters who actually fought their biggest rivals when they were hot.
if floyd's crown jewel is diego corrales and or castillo then its really not a crown jewel.
more like pinky ring victories.
seriously, floyd's greatest win is diego corrales and castillo?
how much greatness is that really worth compared to other ATGs?
you forgot about that that insane offer that Floyd wanted 100% of PPV....lol
Ive known all along that Floyd would take a bullet to the head before he fights Manny. Hell he still wouldnt do it If Manny would fight im for free on the night Manny got out of the Hospital after getting ktfo by JMM....Floyd wont fight Manny! So there is nothing to get over. Ive known this for years.
You know the difference between Manny ANd Floyd....fads? Manny is willing to go out on his shield like a warrior! Floyd will retire! :WORD: Nice try though!
Lol you don’t believe that. You’re just hurt and your anger of Floyd is just getting the best of you. Much like a chick does and starts saying sh*t that she doesn’t really mean in an attempt to hurt the other person. I forgive you but again, you got to stop trying to carry the pac stans on your shoulders. Let them go bro. It’s ok, really. Nobody will hold it against you. The pactart fad came and went and nobody buys into that Floyd is scared of this and scared of that BS. At the end of the day Pac never submitted to testing (even when asked to vs JMM this past 2012). Floyd demanded this back in 2009, nothing has changed since the day pac and his camp officially announced that the fight was dead due to the extra testing demands.
If Pac had actually taken extra tests sometime in-between 2009 and now, you might have an argument but you and I both know Pac never did and never intended to EVEN when he had every chance to like this past Dec 2012.
Of course he did. But again you know this an wont admit it.
Regarding floyd/gatti Not exactly. The plan was in place as early as 03 for Gatti and floyd to fight down the road. I know this through conversations I had with both that I posted on this board before when I met floyd and sat next to gatti on the plane ride home from ODH/Bhop.
Mhmmm, sure.
Don't be stupid, that is talking about Floyd trying to fight Tszyu AFTER Hatton had already beaten him.
There is a little context for you. Now stop trying to pretend Floyd tried to fight Tszyu when Tszyu was the man. He didn't. He went for the big money in Gatti instead.
Of course he did. But again you know this an wont admit it.

His crown jewel is the ducking of the biggest fight in boxing history..IMO.
You mean when Pac fought Clottey and ducked a $100 million pay day/50-50 fight with Floyd?
Or all the other times that Pac had excuses for submitting to random blood tests (like vs JMM this past December 2012)?
Come on even Bob has admitted to ducking fights if he thinks it shouldn't be made. You know this. Quit trying to carry the entire Pac fan sh*ts on your shoulder.
Let them go... just let them go. It's ok man, things will get better but they died. It's time to move on. I know you try to keep the pac tart spirit alive man but it was just a fad… They came and they went.
Time to move on bro. Nobody buys into that sh*t anymore.
As I understand it was supposed to be after Hatton, only Hatton upset Kosta and ****ed it all up.
These talks are nearly a year after Hatton beat Tszyu.
So he wanted gonna fight Tszyu AFTER he lost to Hatton or prior?

...."The Mayweather camp also had conversations with handlers for former junior welterweight champ Kostya Tszyu, who hasn't fought since losing his title to Ricky Hatton 14 months ago. Those talks, however, quickly died when it became apparent that Tszyu wasn't going to fight for the rest of the year. "

"I think when everything got down to the nitty gritty, one of the factors was that Spinks obviously had a mandatory due with Rodney Jones and we really didn't want to get into a situation where there were legal ramifications," Goossen said. "They were neck and neck all the way through the process, but Baldomir was the direction that gave Floyd the ability to fight someone everyone wanted to see him in the ring with."

Floyd already had Castillo x2 and Corralles and was 2 division champion and top 10 p4p. He had a name.
Lets not try and pretend he was a nobody.
Name yes. Fanbase that supported, no. Hell Baldo did 325k, and that was post GAtti.
Shane had a toothache. Kosta said no. The Cotto stuff has been posted numerous times. Same as manny. ODH at least just said not now and kept it real.
Look man, hate floyd all you want. Thats cool. But don't act like you don't know the truth.

Floyd is a victim of being too good!! All his high profile fights turn into him dominating whoever he fights and it's easy to forget them. You can actually see the same thing in Adrien Broner, totally dominating anybody to the point that AFTER the fight, people are screaming "but who has he beat". While he's calling all the champions and top dogs out, just like Floyd used to, they duck him and say anything to not fight him.
I also noticed Broner was on none of this sites fighter of the year, contender of the year, or even "future" prospects of the year list. Now how can GGG be labeled as such a beast/future champion after one good showing, while Broner is destroying the top dogs, being avoided, and in the future some will say "but who has he beat". So I just feel being that good can hurt you.
Floyd has fought good names, but be it his fault, Arum's fault, or whomever, he didn't fight a good amount of the names on his resume in their primes. Whether his fans care or not makes no difference because they'll be fans till the end, but I don't think it's more of Floyd just being so much better than everyone more than picking the right fights at the right time. But I do think he will have a little * for not fighting Pac after all is said and done (though I think he would've beat Pac).
that was his 1st one, and when he won the lineal title. Kosta was at 140 and was the name. How exactly did floyd refuse him?
