Like really, who is canelo to deserve a shot at floyd. Believe me, i aint no floyd nuthugger at all, i dont like him, but i know he is a great fighter, but come on canelo... who are his best fights? 2 weight division smaller lopez? Old man mosley? Washed up Cintron? Gomez? Hahaha.
What has canelo shown to prove he deserves or has a shot at mayweather? He has power, and good combinations but thats it, hes a plodder, he has average speed and not great defense, and has fought NO ONE. Guerrero is atleast more deserving based on the skill of opponents he has fought.
Why is this whole floyd ducking canelo talk coming up? Is it just people hating on floyd, finding something to complain about? Besides matinez, trout (no fanbase), lara (no fan base) and pacquiao, guerrero is the next best option.
Ah, this is why people don't like zombie threads.
But then, thinking Floyd was ever ducking Canelo is already ******ed, no matter when.
That's why it was bumped. Last night someone mentioned that there used to be people accusing Floyd of ducking Canelo. They ended up bumping four of them :lol1:
It's hard to duck someone when you're retired, in your 40s, and your last fight was like three or four weight classes under that of the opponent, who you already absolutely dominated.
Look at the date the thread was started.

But why not fight a prime nel o whilst you are past prime? What's the worst that could happen, lose maybe?
Floyd s got more to gain than lose. He's only got unbeaten record to lose. Unless Floyd thinks people think more of that unbeaten record than he does. But to gain he has a lot more to gain. His doubters will have less to doubt if Floyd won. Floods actually pretty good and better than people thought.
A prime Floyd beating a prime nel o would be a great win. That won't exist. But a past prime Floyd beating a prime nel o is an even greater and more brilliant win. That can exist, doesn't have to be fantasy. Fight nel o coming off a poor performance if neccesary

Why are you going to different threads and posting this again?
Floyd schooled Canelo and Pac. He doesn't need to rematch them whatsoever.
You unnecessarily went to this thread without provocation. You said that you would not post in a Pac or Floyd thread ever again if Floyd won FOTD. So why are you here?
You haven’t learned about upsets. How much more skilled was Jrock to Rosario last night? Floyd was getting tagged in his 152 fight with Canelo. A Canelo at 154-155 gives Floyd problems. Floyd wouldn’t be able to take power from Canelo at 160... it would be like Indongo taking shots from Prograis or Crawford. just rag dolly power
Floyd was getting tagged by Canelo? You're entitled to your own opinion but you're not entitled to your own facts. Straight up bu!!shyt. Canelo barely laid a glove on Floyd.

A prime Canelo vs a Prime Floyd would not exist because a Prime Canelo is a 168 fighter.Yes but for pure boxing technicality I feel Floyd is better than Canelo.

As for Canelo Floyd knows he is past his prime and doesnt want to fight a improved Canelo. Something which is understandable.Hence I still feel a fit prime Floyd beats a fit prime Canelo comfortably.Floyd at his peak just looks the far more fluid technical boxer to me.

Besides matinez, trout (no fanbase), lara (no fan base) and pacquiao, guerrero is the next best option.I think Floyd is a excellent fighter and I have pure admiration for the way he has not let his talent squander.
He may of risked not achieving excellence if it hadnt been for strict family according to stuff I read on Floyd in a book .Hence went a bit lapse in training and after a prep talk early on in is career by one of his Uncles(I think it was) got him back disciplined. Hence physical and technical excellence was the bar which they didnt want to shirk from.Since then hasnt looked back.
He's past his prime now and if he wants to take calculated risks and fight the likes of Conor McGregor so be it.I wish he wouldn't though as I wouldnt want to see him loose and tarnish that brilliant legacy.

Floyd's over 40 and retired, plus he hasn't really fought any top guy for years. The only fans who say Floyd is ducking Alvarez are straight up morons.
Now if you say the diva ducked Golovkin in Sept. that's a whole different story.:D
wow you certainly got um larry. the same people saying guerrero would beat floyd think floyd is ducking a green canelo. got um good! whats next the floyd is ducking maidana threads?
there were literally threads saying how he would run from a rematch
so canelo was prime??
AND YOU AGREED??
Spot on!!!!!
lol..and now you slam that win
He did EXACTLY THAT!!!

Canelo fighting floyd now makes no sense. Canelo has fought as high as light heavyweight, and is so much bigger and thicker now than they last fought. The weight alone makes any rematch unrealistic. People should pump the brakes on this crazy talk.
you should start from the 1st page

canelo is calling out floyd but floyd is still on a fake as vacation or whatever the **** hes doing instead of fighting a prime canelo, floyd wants gueerrero instead of canelo cause hes always dukks fighters at their peak and prime
so canelo was prime??
i agree with everything you said bro, green sentAND YOU AGREED??
Dont worry when the fight is made in Sept these same posters will say Canelo is a cherry pickSpot on!!!!!
Floyd's shook. It's OK though, the Ghost will take that 0 from him.
lol..and now you slam that win
Floyd is not ducking Canelo, he just is not fighting him. Does anybody really think Floyd gives a Rat's a. about this earn a fight with Floyd bs.? Floyd fights whoever makes him big money with the least risk. A few years back Williams earned a fight with Floyd but he did not get one. Look at Floyd's last few fights. Cotto, Ortiz, Mosley, Marquez and Hatton. Their all good fighters but nothing special. At the time Marquez fought Floyd he had never beaten a welterweight. Floyd does not have to fight Canelo because he is a welterweight. If Canelo fought Trout do you think Floyd would fight the winner? I don't think so.He did EXACTLY THAT!!!
probably the best thing is, fight guerrero as a tune up, then fight martinez at 154 or manny if manny gets a couple comeback wins, then retire with a canelo fight once canelo is more experienced. Not saying that will happen but those are realistic options and the best case scenarios for the fans
