If Floyd beat Sergio at 154 people would say he beat a weight drained 37 year old

Please tell me 1 time when a 37 year old dropped a weight class and was successful Hopkins dropped to 170 from 175 to fight Pavlik... thats one pound less than Sergio would have to drop

Floyd would still get credit for taking the fight right now regardless though, no one expects him to take it. Or just the time Martinez has asked for to lose the weight in a healthy manner. Martinez really beat Cintron in that fight (he knocked him out, but the ref let him fight after the count of 10 and then Martinez should have won in decision), but that is just a small aside.

If he fights Martinez the only way it would mean anything is if he fought him at 160 no catchweight for the linear Mw title,no excuses for all the marbles That's what he should do. Most successful welterweights try it at some point. Delahoya did it and he was a small fighter like floyd. Hopkins was much more dangerous and Delahoya didn't have the skill of Mayweather. If he pulls it off he will reap all the rewards and back up his claim of being one of the best ever. Even Corey Spinks tried it why not MaYweather?

Of coure he would, for the money. It would still effect his performance though, its just that for that type of money, he doent care. He still wouldnt be the best Martinez though, whether he agrees or not. I honestly can't even see Mayweather winning against Martinez. Nobodies invincible. We just watched Pacquiao get KTFO and i could see Martinez putting Floyd down. Even if he's slightly weight drained.
